Are the odd holes only on the right side? Possibly for CS which has additional holes for the Challenge Stradale logo.

yes, they are pretty much to the right. Could be for a logo, I'll have another look. Thanks.

    Indeed.

That's why there are different part numbers from Ferrari.

A proper CS grill is 67408000
    A Modena/Spider drilled rear grill is 65919700

I got the same a few weeks back and noticed the same thing. The dealer said it is for the CS logo. So you have not bought a dud.

The 2 tiny holes do not bother me.

Thanks for all the input. I'll keep the grill. As its a cs grill, its probably faster than the standard spider one anyway.
And I'm now armed with enough bull to stand my ground in the pub if it ever gets picked up.

never mind the badge holes, I fitted it last night and took it out for a blast today. I cant believe how much cooler it keeps the engine bay. The old rear panel got really hot, the challange grill is so cool to touch (and look at). Thats running with a level 2 Capristo.

I have been told that it is lighter as it is made from aluminum rather than steel for the standard one, and the holes are actually larger in the stradale grill than the standard one.

not sure if there was a price difference as up until a couple of days agao I did not know there was a difference. Mine was just less than £800 ($1600) including postage and vat.

We recently bought a "challenge" grill out of the US to recieve a steel "heavy" model. My "good" deal was a bit sour. When we went to source an aluminium one we found there are in fact 5 different part numbers. So be warned and check exactly before you order.
