    Just be sure it seals....I have a complete spare antenna except someone took the trim pieces...

    I don't use the radio so I decided to remove the antenna.

    I cleaned the area around the hole with some rubbing alcohol and used heavy-duty elecrical tape from an extra wide roll. Punched out a circle on the tape using a 1 inch round gasket punch. It has held up very well so far even after washing and waxing. In any event it's easy to replace once a year if need be.
