Turn Signal Lens, Fender, Euro Model

I've never liked the orange turn signal lenses on the front fenders of Euro models. Maybe they look okay on some colors of cars but I definitely don't think the orange compliments a red or yellow car body color. I put on these clear lenses with orange bulbs. To me it looks better and more modern yet without looking like I'm trying to make the car look more modern (if that makes any sense

I put them on a year or two ago. What I remember is it was hard to push out the old ones (from inside the fender well) so it's something you want to do when it's warm-ish in your garage. The new ones seemed a tiny bit too big and were a really tight fit. I think I used some dishwashing liquid on the rubber grommet. Also, I had to cut off the electrical connectors since they were different. I crimped on Weatherpack terminals which are much better anyway.

Would probably look way cool on a black car.

They also have smoke colored lenses but that starts defeating the purpose of the lamp by dimming it somewhat.
