Here are some pics of my new audio system custom built for me by GT PRO in Fullerton, Ca. (714-447-1697). Still a few little things to finish and touch up, but I wanted to get these pics up to show off what these guys can do. The system consists of 2 Focal amps in the trunk under a custom built floor with polycarbonate center with Ferrari logo, 4 Focal speakers and tweaters inside of Custom door panels & Custom behind the seat box, Focal sub-woofer inside of Custom built between the seats center box with chrome cavalino (from Ricambi of course) and an Eclipse tuner. If your looking for something custom for you car, these guys have the answer. Thanks again Denis and Brian. It's pretty lightweight, and looks good in person. ...but the real question is: have you killed the mice (motors)?!
The mice are deactivated Thanks for letting me pimp your ride jeff. You are the owner of my favorite 348 on the planet
I had the pleasure of seeing it in person last weekend; my favorite part is the door panel/speaker pods. The angles for the pod work well with the original door trim layout IMO.
Holy Thats a whole lot of audio gear for a 348. The job looks very well done, the door enclosures seem to fit neatly as well as everything else for that matter. Great to see someone setting their car up they way they like it. Well done!
This was a concept specifically designed for Jeff for his personal enjoyment, there were very specific things that were done to appease his taste and enjoyment of sound. This is also an install that we took up after seeing how horrendous the first audio install was done in Jeff's baby by another unnamed shop. The system is a bit *over the top*, however the design goals were discussed and agreed upon, and one of the things we really wanted to do for Jeff was to make sure the music was correct and pure (BTW Jeff is a musician and knows sound). The system might not be to everyone's taste, but I can tell you this..This design is a 1 of 1 exclusivly for Jeff, and he is happy and this is the main objective for us. Also to note this install was done without drilling holes in Jeff's car and destroying her, becuase that's not how we do things, and Eva is too special to molest her that way anyhow LOL.
Damn, that's insane. I would be worried about the subs shaking all my screws and nuts out. Nice job, I bet that's probably the best sound system ever installed in a Ferrari. Too bad we can't hear it.
Did you have to uprate your alternator or battery since you're running extra amps for this setup? I would think that the 348 would struggle with all lights on, wipers on, and A/C on in stock form, and extra amps would draw even more current.
Nope, no changes needed at all and zero issues as I ran the A/C, stereo you name it in Las Vegas on the Pauper's run in 100+ degree heat with some shall we say spirited driving.... The amps used are not uber high power as Denis and Brian will tell you, its not the amount of watts that matters its the quality and how you use them. Jeff
You know I was a little concerned when you first said you were doing a custom job but coming from an audiophile such as myself that looks awesome tell the boys they did an outstanding job. Tell me did you have to modify the way your top went down? I looked and there didn't seem to be enough room where the top comes down or is this an optical illusion..
Looks nice guys. Just a question. Does that 348 have the auto seatbelts and if so how well do the seatbelts work on there factory sliding tracks? It looks as if the speaker door pod would get in the way of he factory movement or do you just unhook them before you open the door.
The 348 actually has another shoulder belt latch built into the seat so if you chose to, you can deactivate the mice, For the propper sound immaging, that is what we did. Jeff then locked the mice in place by deactivating the control unit for them.
The top goes up and down just fine, so I am gonna go with your optical illusion statement; that and the fact that I am not very good with a camera.
I deactivated the mice and locked them into to place next to the seats with some help from my good friend Chris aka:No Doubt It was super easy to do once he showed me and I am finally free of the stupid mouse trap! Jeff
Jeff, My chemist just created the ULTIMATE chip resistant clear coat for your front bumper. Art worked all week on it. It is much cheaper than we thought to make. Give me a buzz
