The Ferrari team kicked off on Wednesday their final test of the season at the Mugello circuit in Italy.

Test driver Luca Badoer took the Tuscan circuit to carry out a programme of developing aerodynamic solutions aimed at the final four races of the season. He also did some work on car set-up.

Badoer covered a total of 66 laps with a best time of 1:21.010.

Kimi Raikkonen will take over from Badoer today, while Felipe Massa will be in action at Fiorano to carry out the shakedown of the cars that will be used at the Singapore Grand Prix.

This week's Scuderia Ferrari test session at the Mugello International Circuit came to an end today.

After Luca Badoer on Wednesday and Kimi Raikkonen on Thursday, it was Felipe Massa's turn to get behind the wheel of the F2008.

In a day affected by adverse weather conditions, the Brazilian driver worked on finding the best set-up on the car, including on a wet track.

Massa completed a total of 98 laps, the quickest in a time of 1:23.618.

"This session has been very useful," commented Massa at the end of the test. "Kimi and Luca were able to run in the dry, while I encountered the wet and, given that there's a chance we could experience these conditions in the coming races, that is no bad thing.
    "

"We have done a good job and feel ready for the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix," Massa added. "The end of the championship will be very close and it will be vital not to make any mistakes anywhere."
