There are several threads on the blinking "0:00" clock problem with 348's (e.g., http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147153&highlight=clock).

Having spent a few hours exploring this trouble in the car I bought from former chatter Marco, I wanted to share what I'd found.

First I disassembled the center console according to the excellent description provided by Rayman and Ernie in this thread: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19629.

I found that the climate control/clock section easily detaches from the main face panel with the turn of a few screws. This makes it a lot easier to work with on the bench (Pic 1). Next, You remove the cover and detach the main circuit boards from the push-panel board by simply pulling the connector apart (Pics 2, 3). 4 screws hold in the push-panel board, but it must come out to get to the clock board beneath (Pic 4). (At this point I was looking for a burnt solder joint, as has been described to cause the trouble, but not finding one, I had opted to press on. Particularly intriguing was the rattle of small parts loose and floating inside the unit, which turned out to be beneath the clock panel.)

With the clock panel released (which takes some jiggling, much like the headlight housing) (Pics 5, 6) I saw the issue, or at least AN issue. One of the push contacts had fallen apart (maybe when Marco applied his karate-chop repair to the AC ;^) (Pics 7, 8).

When this was replaced the clock functioned fine and could be set without difficulty.

Sorry, Pap, didn't see a centigrade conversion. There was, however, a Kelvin switch. Since it will soon be close to absolute zero in my neck of the woods, I was tempted to make the change...but I didn't want to see "OOO" any more. :^)
