My idea for having a car show on the ND campus is coming together. We're aiming for 30-40 cars. Hopefully we'll be able to get some local South Bend cars out, as well as some of the alumni. But I'd also like some people from here to come.
I would also really appreciate sending this out to other people in the area who don't check Fchat.

    Here are the potential dates:
Sat March 28, Sun March 29
Sat April 4, Sun April 5
    (Easter Sunday is April 11)

Please post if you are interested in attending. You don't have to know yet if you will actually be free that day, although if you do know a certain day will/will not work, you can post that too. But for now we're just trying to gauge interest. You could probably get a group from each local area to meet and drive up together to make the drive less boring. There will be a registration fee of $15-20 (all proceeds will go to charity). There may be a few awards/raffle prizes if we can find the funding for them.

Driving distances to South Bend from
    Indianapolis: 130 miles
    Ft. Wayne: 120 miles
    Chicago: 90 miles
    Michigan :) : 2 miles

    Expected as of 2/1/2009
    1) Dan C (not the Dan C) - 1967 Corvette Sting Ray
    2) Jerry H - Ford GT, Bentley Arnage, Shelby Daytona
    3) Jerry M - Ford GT
    4) Tom M - 250 Cali Spyder, others

I would guess it's changed alot since childhood. Not many ferraris around, but that makes it even more fun driving around. It is getting more congested however.

Due to the incredibly underwhelming response, the show's going to be postponed to late April. Hopefully some of you (Rick, Aric) who I know would come but didn't have your cars available, will have your cars back in April
