Does anyone know the history of this one? http://www.graysonline.com.au/lot.asp?LOT_ID=3329133 Cheep as Chups.....
It sounds great on the inspection Here Worn rotors, damaged rim, bald tyres, oil leak, no compliance plate.... Why would someone steal a compliance plate? Would they be trying to rebirth an MR2 as a 430?
My favourite F430 colour combo - and like GTRMagic says - why would anyone steal the compliance plate
Yep yep. The 599 also looks awesome in that colour combo. Not too sure what the story is there with the compliance plate?
My sources tell me it has had some reasonable body damage and panels do not fit that well. Owner refused to pay for work and panel beater took the compliand plate which aparently causes major drama to try for another and even though they say a letter will be issued it is not a satifactory solution.
What ever the story is i hope the price gets burnt and sells for the 300k mark. Guys we have to protect our car resale values as in the past year they have dropped by 25-30% e.g this time last year the cheapest 430 was for 410k now they are showing up like crazy for 280-300. if this sells for a high price which is good and shows how a dud sells for a high price... i think im going mad.. LOL
$240K? Nice work. He just scored himself a car that will be REALLY hard to sell in the future! No one wants a 'story car'.
oh, absolutely! There always is. I will have my cheque book open for this 430 when the time comes, thats for sure!
it's not a story car. in 5 years time we'll all have forgotten, and he'll have a new compliance plate on it and for that, he saved $30-50k
May as well put the VIN in the thread in case anyone tries some studious research in the future then? VIN ZFFEZ59D000145362 As quoted by grays online auctions www.graysonline.com.au
Ok, fair call. But isnt this car missing the books etc?? Im sure someone will *want* them when they buy the car in 5 yrs. I know I would. Also, in 5 yrs time...........he would have lost $30-50K on this car.
Not everyone is like that. I made the mistake of just rushing in and buying a car and am paying for it now in both $ and time. Would I do it again if I liked a specific car, probably.
He saved $30-50K now, but he is still going to lose that amount in 5 yrs time. He just gets his foot in the door at a lower price now. Who knows, story cars dont sell well and he may take a bigger hit than he expects in 5 yrs time. But...........he probably will NEVER sell. So none of this crap will worry him!
