I've been trying to through to Becker of North America this morning because of a problem with the Becker/Ferrari CD player in my 575 Superamerica. I kept getting voice mail that said leave a message and they will call back, but I just kept calling. Finally someone picked up and said "The Becker North America facility has been shut down and no orders or service calls will be taken".

Thought I would let everyone know.

Becker won't touch a Ferrari unit- MUST go through the dealer. I had problem with my SA as well, called them, they gave me a hint but still needed replacement through FNA. Sorry.

Yes, Becker NA is no longer accepting calls, but a new number emerges if you want to call for parts or sales 201-773-0976 it's to Beckers AutoSound (I think that's what it's called) that I'm told has some of the old employees of Becker NA specifically for parts. I just ordered the 1319.116 cable so that I can plug in my iPod to the stock Becker unit. The person told me for service or repair work it is being outsourced as well. Sorry, didn't ask for that number as I was just looking for a part. Hope this helps.

Honestly, the minute the factory unit needs service just replace it with a better system. Keep the original in a box for posterity/concour.

An Alpine will do everything plus more at probably half the price.

    Best,
