Early in my quest for help on getting my vehicle running and acquiring reasonably priced parts, I stumbled upon FerrParts on the internet. Located in Sacramento, California, shipping UPS Ground is overnight to my location in Southern California. This is definitely a plus. The salesmen, both Patrick and Russ, have been more than patient with me as I am new to the Ferrari world, and I’m just now getting my feet wet. All my questions, including the stupid ones, were answered expertly with a strong knowledge of the subject.

As I have been disassembling my 348 Spider, I have found the exploded view drawings on their website very helpful. After all, I have never seen a Ferrari apart…much less together in the condition mine was purchased in. A classic example was when I was trying to determine if my temperature thermister had pipe or straight threads. I looked up the thermistor on the exploded view drawings of my vehicle and was able to determine the correct thread. A real help, as I wasn’t sure if the thermistor I removed was even the correct OEM part.

I was looking for and found much needed used parts for my project car at a fair price. It turns out that Ferrparts has a few vehicles with experienced parts (prior owned, used, junk) in the boneyard (grave yard, salvage yard, wrecking yard, junk yard) that they are parting out (dismantling, stripping, auto wrecking, parts recycling, auto dismantling, scrapping) and of course the new term (to me) I just learned, breaking. I read that term a few times before I knew what it meant. When I first saw the word breaking I thought it meant cutting edge, innovative, state of the art, leading edge technology. Duh!

Anyway, bottom line is I’m very happy in my dealings with FerrParts. Salesmen are courteous, demonstrate a knowledge of their subject matter, and they aren’t charging an arm and a leg like some of the others. You can also call them on their dime (old school) as they have a toll free phone number.

    Thank you FerrParts.

Have you ever bought from Ricambi America? I think most here on FerrariChat.com will heavily recommend Ricambi America and they are our title sponsor too. Support those that support our community.

When you say newer stuff do you mean late model parts or NOS (New Old Stock) parts?

For me 1986 and newer. All the stuff I need for the 328, so that would include 348 too.

I guess I’m not clear on your last sentence, and I'm not knocking Ricambi. I define “our community” as Ferrari owners, similar to myself (do it yourselfers), who are looking for an alternative source of reasonably priced parts, information, and service. I think that FerrParts is supporting our community by supplying reasonably priced parts, information, with good service. To imply that they aren’t is, I believe, incorrect. In my mind, and in my small way (I don’t spend a million dollars there), I am supporting one of those who support our “Ferrari community”.

They support the overall Ferrari community as do hundreds of other companies, Ricambi supports FerrariChat.com along with the overall Ferrari community. You can post here on FerrariChat.com, a big audience reads your posts, and it happens quickly for a large part because of Ricambi.

FerrParts aré great! Patrick is a great salesman, and very patient. I bought a clutch from them and the service is awesome. I usually buy my parts from Eurospares.uk, but Ferrparts had a better price on that clutch.

My 1+++ to Patrick and FerrParts

Hmmmm well I must be the only one then, yes Patrick is very nice but I have called him and or Linda many many many times to find out where my bloody lights for my LeMans grill are and always the same story they will be here next week Yada yada yada. When I first phoned them I said I needed them in about 3 weeks that was back in March I called 5 different times with the same result last time was in mid June I gave up now.

I'm sure they are Ok but they dropped the ball with me bad. But I know that I will probably use them in the future for something or another let's hope they make it a good experience the sixth time around.

Now Ricambi there is nothing bad I can say about them, I wish all CO. could be as professional and informative, Daniel is a good man to have on your side.

When others told me that the part I needed for my 308QV is no longer available new, which is the lock actuator for the driver side door, Patrick told me that he can get it new from Italy so I said yes please I like to order one. To my surprise he got me one in less than two weeks, a Brand New actuator:) A+ for FerrParts:)

You are correct on both accounts, not Linda it was Kathy and yes they did move but over a three week period, my calls were over a 3 month period and 5 calls total no excuses, but I am willing to give them another try. Patrick and Kathy were very respectful and courteous to me, just fell through the cracks I guess.

They have contacted me now and are willing to resolve my dilemma and I will let them :).
