This is a huge event that happens in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth. Cars of all styles lined up on Main St. from the convention center to the court house all for a good cause. Please check out the link below for more information.

    Will,
Get the mods to change the date in your title, as it reads October.

    Sounds like a fun event.

Looks like it's been fixed & thanks to whoever did that. BTW from what I understand there hasn't been any Ferraris shown that this event but a couple of Lamborghinis have attended. Let's try to get a couple of Ferraris in the show.

Although I have never been to this show, I have spoken to people who have. Alot of quality cars and a good mix of muscle cars & street rods. I was told there were not many sports cars at last year's event.

My Eastfield College weekend classes start again this weekend, but I am thinking about skipping out and entering this show with a muscle car. Depends upon the weather.

Suspect late arrivals will be frowned upon since the streets are blocked off.

Would be good boozing opportunities in Sundance Square later...not that I care about that.

I spoke to Don this morning, he might bring one of the F512M's out but it all depends on his work load on Saturday. KRLD radio reported sign in will start at 6:30 am. Try to come out & make this event if you can.

The Cruisin’ for a Cure show has all the elements of a great event. Location is first advantage as they close off many blocks of downtown Ft. Worth. From the Convention Center on 9th down Main to 2nd is all blocked off cars on both sides of Main and each side street. They also fill up both parking lots in the heart of downtown. Access to all the restaurants in the area and of course had to hit the Starbucks. :) Live band and awards for 100 cars topped it off. The Ferrari wasn't out of place with all the late model Mustangs and Vettes there, it actually got some very positive attention.

First two pics are looking both ways on Main from 5th street. The BMW side pod won an award for FerrariChat.com user ByeEnzo, congrats! The interesting red dino type car is a Brazilian Puma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puma_(car). The Chevys are in order ’55, ’56, and ’57.

Finally the clock Will had to clean as a kid. :D We should think about getting a FerrariChat.com/FCA section out there next year. Several clubs out there with 20-40 cars and the Top 100 awards are mostly about the group voting.

What an excellent event but all that walking yesterday cramped my legs, I was walking like Fred Sanford this morning. The '99 Buick Blackhawk concept car was purchased by a local Fort Worth resident at Barrett Jackson when GM had their clearing house sale. It sold for $522,500 & took home best in show. Next year it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a FCA or exotic section like the local Mercedes Benz, Mustang, AMC, Camaro, etc.. clubs did.

wow, I didn't know it sold for $500k!

still dreaming for a 302. can't get over I could have bought one in 2005 for $25k. now they are going for not much less than a Shelby.

Rob, thanks for the props and it was a pleasure to meet you. Me and my mutt had a great day riding out to the show and back in the vintage Bimmer with sidecar. Next year we need to get a group of Ferrari's out there and get a club parking spot. I'll bring out the CS.
