So I just know a little. Shell Helix doesn't sell for $80 a quart anymore, but there is Shell Helix rebranded as some Quaker State for cheap as other oils. I've heard it had an Italian flag on it, but I went to two autoparts stores today and couldn't find it.

Have they removed the Italian flag and which Quaker State is the Shell Helix?

Good oil for the 355 Challenge car racing conditions?

    Thank you.

Really?? All oil was $80 per quart? I missed that.

It's not at all like that.

IMHO oil is oil, except when it comes to our expensive engines(Rob didn't you just have the 355 rebuilt & how much did it cost) and since you are racing it I would never use either of the oils you are referring to. Redlines straight wt. racing oils or their multi wts, maybe Amsoil's best 10-40 are a better choice
Ferrari only recommends these brands because of marketing/advertising deals they are certainly not superior to Redline products or Amzoil products.

Kosmo- The Enzo OM calls for 10W-60 Shell Ultra Helix (or QS Q equivalent), as does the 599's.

The Shell and Quaker State Q foam too much for me and I have gone to Valvoline 5W-40 fully synthetic.
