I wanted to give everyone a heads up about what looks to be a VERY, VERY nice show near Jackson, MS. It is for vintage (pre 1985) European vehicles, and I would love to see a strong showing of Ferraris! I have heard through the grapevine that they will also consider newer cars if they are of "special interest", so I would imagine you may could enter a newer Ferrari. I know Ferrari of Atlanta is bringing a few cars, and I presume a few will be new models.

The show is at the Renaissance shopping center, which is a newer upscale development. They seem intent on making this a very nice, high end show. Entry is FREE, and includes:

Free to the Public and Exhibitors of Classic Autos and Motorcycles
Free Select Sponsor-Exhibitor Reception for Participants and Their Guest Friday Night, October 23rd
First 25 Vehicles to Enter Will Receive Porcelain Grill Badge
Class Awards to Be Of Fine Glassware
Free Saturday Buffet For Participants and Their Guest
Special Hotel Rates at Hyatt Place on the Grounds
Highly Secured Parking of Show Area
Special Fine Dining Rates at Any of Four Restaurants on the Grounds
Reception for Participants and Their Guest Friday Night, October 23rd (NOTE - catered by Ruth's Chris!)
First 25 Vehicles to Enter Will Receive Porcelain Grill Badge

I will be there. I have been dying to see some Ferrari's since I moved back to Mississippi from San Antonio (Where I would see 1 a day) this summer.

By all means y'all should head north for the weekend! Looks to be great weather on Saturday. Hotel info is on the website....there is a reduced rate of $115 available at the Hyatt Place which is located in the same development as the Reniassance shopping mall where the show is. You can walk back and forth. Call 1-888-Hyatt-HP and mention group "eurofest 2009" for the rate. See http://www.renaissanceatcolonypark.com/euro_fest_hotel.php for details.

Yes. After you submit your entry they will email you with details. There is a reception
Friday at the Harold’s Store location at the Renaissance from 5:00-7:00. This is being catered by Ruth's Chris I believe. You can pick up your exhibitor's packet and display kit at the reception as well. Friday night parking has been arranged at the cellularsouth building covered garage just across the street from the Hyatt Hotel. They will also have a car detailing station set up there for those that need to clean the bugs and such off after the drive up!

Please note you will need to register first if you are planning on coming. They are printing up a nice 11x14 information poster to display with each car based on the information you give on the registration. I don't know if they are going to let people just show up on Saturday and enter the show. You can register at the link in my original post.

Thanks for sharing. I've never seen a Dino like that; any idea if that is factory and/or race history?

That's one of Bo Pirkle's creations if I remember correctly. The guy is the best in the Ferrari body painting industry (out of Atlanta).

If you didn't go you missed out on the best car show I've ever been to. First class all the way. Mike Marsh set the high bar with this event!

I cannot tell you of the great event that Mike Marsh put on in Ridgeland/Jackson MS. I can only say the high bar has been set for any car show event. If you missed it and could have even possibly made it and didn’t, you should kick yourself in the a**.
Friday evening reception catered by Ruth’s Chris, Saturday lunch catered by Ruth’s Chris, better organized than any volunteer event I’ve ever seen or heard about. What an exhibition area, The Renaissances Center; what a great crowd of truly curious and appreciative attendees. Every mother and father controlled their children. The sun was shining and it was one of the best days to be a Ferrari owner I’ve had in a long, long time. The other car owners/exhibitors were like meeting long lost relatives, the ones you wanted to meet all your life. Friendly, funny, and car camaraderie like Hallet 98.
First class all the way and did I mention free to exhibitors!!!

From what I was told from the guy representing FoA is that it started out as a regular Dino 246 but the owner had these changes done. So it is not factory. It was last raced in 2004. It looked pretty sharp, especially the larger side air scoops.

Other than the F40, this was my favorite thing there. I know next to nothing about bmw bikes so I have no idea what model/year this is, but it looks like a blast to ride.

Thats cool - I would have never imagined seeing an Enzo or F40 in MS.

If this goes on next year maybe I can bring my '85 308 down and go to the USM Homecoming game too!!!

You know, now that you mention it there is a lot of resemblance there!

It was a tie between that Dino and a beautifully restored MG TC for my personal favorite of the show. Close runner up was the Land Rover Dormobile. I would love to get in that thing, fill up all the extra gas tanks, stock up on food and water, and head out on safari!
