Looks like delivery will be the end of next week if everything goes right. All that insurance stuff to deal w/ before they can ship. Any suggestions as to a company to go w/. Have Allstate on my other 4 cars but they can’t offer market value insuance.

Congrats! I have an '81 308GTSi, (hence my FChat moniker) And,I have State Farm. The car is insured at "Agreed Value",which,at the time that I bought it,(Jan.2001) was for the total purchase price that I paid. (Tax and license included)

We only pay $145.00/every 6 months for full coverage. Also, have "Multi Car Discounts". But,that is if we keep the Mileage under 2500 per year. No problem if we want to drive it more, except that the rate will then be about $325.00/every 6 months. No biggie.

Good Luck! And,enjoy your new car!! :)

Karen , Hagerty insured my 308gts for replacement value of $39,700 for $308.00 a year FULL COVERAGE. miles limit set by me at 7500. i would never drive it to work , or the local store, given the types of folks around here. i have a garage with an alarm, i think i got a better rate because of that as well. PM me if i can help, ill give you my number. michael

    Hi
Agree with Hargerty's. Have my Mondial insured for similar rate.
    Have fun!

State Farm. With a multi-line discount, and an agent that's just wonderful, I pay something like $600/year on the 348 for very good coverage.

Chubb. Because you can never be too safe. (And, if you have to deal with a wreck, they aren't going to jerk you around). But, they ain't cheap. Then again, you aren't driving a Geo. (BTW, when i got my first ferrari, i was still living in NYC; i was quoted something like 10k a year in premium cost from outfits like State Farm. Chubb, which offers far better protection, came up with a collector's car policy, no mileage cap, which was actually cheaper for the Ferrari than it was for a Volvo sedan we had at the time). And, since i've gotten banged a couple times in the city (thankfully, not driving any Ferrari), my experience has been terrific. Latest incident: got T-boned at an intersection by a fool who ran a redlight. Car was at BMW of Manhattan within an hour of the accident; BMW had it taken to the body shop in Queens (Small Repair, the absolute best for German bodywork in the city) within a couple hours, no waiting for an adjuster to show, etc.
Highly recommended, for house, jewelry, etc. (No i don't get a kickback). Good luck with your car. Its a nice one.

Hagarty is counting the numbers as we speak. Just $200 over Allsatate for blue book coverage.

I have also been with Chubb for many years - on my vintage 60's fcars and my new one... and home, auto, boat, and extras - as mentioned - not the cheapest in town - but the best coverage I have seen - and I looked at them all. For example - if you want coverage while you pick up a car overseas - I did this with a porche I had bought a few years back - drove around Europe for a few days - and they fully cover you... They also will help with depriciation if your F-car is in a wreck... Cause you know they are worth less to most if they even have a fender bender... Years ago I moved everything to Chubb - and the cost is not all that bad - respectfully...
