Hi all, I had a 3.2 Mondial a couple of years back and came on a few meets but was persuaded to sell it and regreted it ever since. Now back with a 3.4 T Coupe which I picked up a couple of weeks ago but the ride height on the front looks too high and the rear prhaps a little low. Can someone measure their ride height either from the top of the tyre to the wheel arch front and rear or centre of wheel to the arch please. Look forward to some drives out once i get this sorted and the geometry reset. Trevor. P.S. Also posted on C.S. Forum.
Trevor, sorry I left my car in storage in the states but the best I can do is share this side shot which might be of use. Let me know and I can email a higher definition of the same picture. Cheers, pj Image Unavailable, Please Login
PJ, Thanks for the pic and it is certainly better than nothing. I am taking the car in to have the heights and geometry set tomorrow but still don't have any figure for it yet so may have to be guess work for the height. Regards Trevor.
I have linked this thread to the Mondial section for you, maybe you will get a response from the owners there.
Posted also on C/S. Dropped the car off this morning at Blackboots for ride height and geo setup. Very few places I go give me the service I would like but Blackoots have been consistently good having taken 3 cars there so far. They charged an hour to sort the ride height and when they were unsure if it was correct they didn't leave it at best guess but instead called DK Engineering to measure one of the cars they had there. Once ride heights were sorted they set it up on the Hunter equipment (fantastic bit of machinery) and pretty much everything was out. All was corrected to within spec and as soon as I drove off the estate I could feel the difference in the steering. Gone was the bouncy front and weightless no feel steering, replaced with how I expected it should feel. Car now looks right and drives how it should. Thanks to Tony on the Hunter and whoever did the ride heights. Highly recommended. Trevor.
