Hey all, Just wanted to let you guys in Socal know that I'm offering to do photoshoots of your cars. Shoots will be to build my own portfolio and therefore free of charge. I can also get some prints for you after the shoot free of charge if you're interested. Otherwise, digital copies will be given. A bit about me is in order I guess. My name is Richard. I'm currently finishing up college at UCI (4th year). I've been going to Cars and Coffee regularly and love shooting the cars there, but wish I could get some more interesting shots than in a parking lot. I currently shoot with a Canon 5D+24-105L. Also have a 50mm f/1.4, 135mm f/2L and a 430EXII flash. Photos shot in RAW and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop CS4. If anyone is interested, let me know. Don't be shy - it doesn't have to be a Ferrari. http://richardwu.smugmug.com Thanks, Richard
No takers? I'll be at Cars and Coffee tomorrow morning (and probably every Sat). Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
Still offering free photoshoots. Here are a few I did after Cars and Coffee this past weekend. http://richardwu.smugmug.com/Cars/SL55-and-M45/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Woo-hoo! The Backbay. I used to live on the ghetto Westcliff side, you got lucky without a lot of bike/foot traffic down there, same out in Tustin. You know, if you play your cards right, those hangars are sometimes open I shot for Lexus there in 99 for the Taste of Lexus event and they are pretty neat inside if you go strobist.
Definitely got lucky with traffic down at Backbay, though there was still some. Luck and patience makes for a good shoot. What kind of cards are we talking about? Those hangars are amazing structures from a distance, but being inside must have been a neat experience. Have any pictures from your Lexus shoot?
That was in 99 and I took them the day before the base was officially decomissioned. I had a lot of the initial leak photos of the SC. I've even been on top of them. There was an owl living in one of the hangars, an old jarhead owl. He crapped everywhere and there were mouse 'pelts' as evidence. His wingspan was an easy 7ft. I took shots inside and out, and at the door with the car just outside using strobes to illuminate the car and darken the sky. They are someplace on the Web, I never kept a copy because it was for our corporate communications team, but I think the images made it to the product brochures when it was unveiled to the market. Recently a Saab commercial was filmed in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Kt3WR0J5Vk Star Trek: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/hitokirivader/Shuttle_Hangar.jpg Apollo 13 was filmed there, Austin Powers, From the Earth to the Moon as well.
