This may be late notice, but I got involved from Copterjon and Testrossa Lover from So Cal. There is a young man who is suffering from Muscular Dystrophy that is coming through Phoenix on a trip. He loves Ferrari's. The guys in So Cal were able to put together a group of cars. We are going to do the same thing at 3:30 on 4/17. If you want to get involved PM me, or meet at 3:15 at the Staples on Scottsdale Rd and Goldwater. So far Copterjon Ingenere Under Psi F and L cars + 5 others that aren't Fchat Let's try to make his day.
I've been following this in the S. Cal. section! This is great.. We are also putting something together for when the family is here in Vegas. So far I think we have about 5 cars plus he'll get a private tour of Ferrari/Wynn..
So far this is looking good. Ingenere and I have been banging phones and keyboards all morning getting the troops together. Hopefully we'll have a decent turnout and make this young man and his familys visit to Scottsdale a memorable one.
Hey Reg: I can't be there but I'm telling Rich at Wynn that my 430 is at their disposal for anything that is possible. I'd send over the Maserati but it needs a bath badly! If I can get Rich to pick it up and clean it up, you can have that one too. Any idea what day it will be?
Speechless, great jobs guys, I've read the previous threads and it's really powerful on what can be achieved. Don't think I'll be there (no Fcar), I would love to see the expression on that boys face though.
Thurs. night. As of now they we be at our social, it didn't sound like they could stay for dinner but will be there to meet everyone. Not sure what day there going on the tour of Ferrari/Wynn, Rich is taking care of that..
We had a great afternoon with Alexander, his Mom and Aunt in Scottsdale. We were able to put together 11 cars and great owners who showed them a nice day. Hats off to the guys who came and brought their cars. It's days like this that make owning these cars that more special. John Jim Rick Alex Aurelio Brian Luca Ray Scott Brandon
Thanks for that. Rich is the man! Too bad I can't be there until Friday night. I'd have liked to be there.
Email from Susie (Alexander's Mother) Today we had the Scottsdale Ferrari Club come by! What a great group of people your organizations have! I spoke with Gary Simon who is the Ferrari dealer, who is going to meet Alexander and show him around on Sundat afternoon! We have also been in touch with Bob Lebenson (not sure how to spell his name) for Las Vegas. He seems like such a lovely man! What you have done for us amazing! This is great and I know we keep thanking you but it just does not seem like it is enough to say to you guys! We will keep in touch! Susie McCormack
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to share the afternoon with Alexander and his family. I posted some of the pictures I took over in the Southern Cal thread where it all started. When Dino and I started talking about this last night we had know idea that we would be able to get as many cars as we had show up. Most of the locals were on an overnight run up north. We even joked that it might be just the two of us. I know this was short notice and really appreciate everyone taking the time to come out and share their passion with this remarkable young man.

What a great time!!! Alexander and his family showed up for our monthly social we had a great group of cars and a special treat for him and the family. A little back story (so I was told) Alexander and family wanted to see the Lions at MGM but once they got there it was so crowded they could get close to the exhibit. Well it turns out two of our local members own the Lions that are displayed at MGM.. so a private showing was set up for this morning.. but it seems Alexander wasn't feeling good this morning so couldn't make it to see the Lions... Well the owners were nice enough to bring one of the Lion cubs to the social.. The look on his face was priceless.. Anyway we had a great time showing the cars and they even stayed for dinner. First CLASS all the way... Bob and I had communicated several times during the Lion CUB and did not want to say anything until it actually was done. Here is Bob's email as he got home: Went great again tonite (including a lion cub). Just got home. More tomorrow. Note: Bob gets home tired and gets on his computer at 12:44 AM my time to send me this short email. I am amazed... Thank you all and special thanks to Keith and Beverly to taking a Lion Cub for Alexander to see and touch, since Alexander was tired earlier in the day to attend a privately organized back stage show just for him to in order to avoid the crowds.
Excellent pictures! What a surreal experience it is to watch all of this unfold. Some really really great hearts out there!
I am just amazed at how this thing has evolved. I get a lump in my throat and watery eyes every time I check the two threads to see the latest happenings. Great job Vegas Crew!
One thing that we didn't do for Alexander, was give him something to remember his Arizona Ferrari friends. I have an unused Concourso poster, and I will bring it to Cars and Coffee in May. Lets see how many people we can get to sign it and I will send it up to him. So, if you missed our visit with Alexander, here's your chance to show your support for a courageous young man and his wonderful family.
