Saw this on Craigslist today, and I thought I'd post it if anyone is looking for a Black/Tan QV. Sounds like it has all records and has been serviced often. Only 2 owners since new, and the last year of the 308 line --- if it checks out, it seems like a helluva deal at $30K....

I think that is a euro version, no cross vent on hatch, small bumpers, no diaper low miles. Updated tires and brakes. Sounds to good to be true at that price.

Craigslist cars are all crap! Worse than fleabay junk! Parts car only! Money pit!

Now thats been said......it looks like a pretty darn nice car for a very reasonable price! Cosmetics look good. Euro car might present some problems in hard core emissions testing states however. If the compression was good and the transaxle shifted properly it could be a heckuva good buy. Worth checking out probably!

    ?????

have any of you keyboard cowboys actually tried to SELL a car in this market?

    wake up.

    selling prices are way down.

    its cash, cash, or cash.

Only certain Credit Unions will issue loans for "old" cars now ( at @ 9%), so MANY of the potential buyers out there are sitting on the sidelines with no way to buy anything.

There are TONS of 3x8's series cars out there, not to mention Jalpas, Urracos, Maseratis. muscle cars, Porsche 911 / 930's and NONE OF THEM are selling for these magical internet fantasy prices.

the deals are out there for cold hard cash.

i may have a QV deal done this week. for way less than this car, and its also a nice euro car also.

Seconded, far from a 'good price'. This would be a 'good price' for a 328 in this market. From what I have seen average QVs are going for (again, not advertised but title and money actually exchanging hands) around $25k in this market, so a good price would have to be something a bit below that. Many people seem to not fathom how few of these cars are actually selling these days.

I agree... for the most part.

It really depends on the condition of the car. Good (above average) cars can still get strong money. I should know. I sold my Euro 308 a couple of months ago after listing it on F-Ads. I had the deal done in about 5 days and it sold for close to my asking price ($34.5K).

So the good cars are selling and the average cars that either need a paint job, tune up or have other issues stay on the market. Probably due to a seller being stubborn.

Which is a "plus" for some when it comes to 308's.

not many of them are trading above 30k right now. I think it's priced right for a QV. I just bought a 3 owner May 85 QV that's pretty spotless for a little more than what your guy is asking. Cars priced over 33k just aren't moving.

That sounds good to me :) If I were in the market for another 308, I'd be all over this one at $25K!

Heck, wait him out a couple months and then offer $25k and see how serious he is about selling the car.

You know, if that car were gray or blue or even, yellow, I would do just that ---- but since my current 308 is also black over tan, I can't justify the duplication (unless........I could get the seller to come down to........hmmmmmmmmm.......23, 22.5....)....no, no, somebody guard my checkbook for me....too many cars already;)
