    On ebay -- item: 320654774162

    It's a black-black F355 (1995) with gold wheels...

Looks un-maintained to say the least...

Way too molested/pimped-out for my tastes. And a Euro car on top of it all. Much cleaner and easier cars to acquire out there - especially if you plan to import it to Canada. Then again, maybe the mods are your taste and if you're looking for a bargain...well then...

Sorry, I'd be buying this in the US...my home town is in Canada; I am now in the US on a semi permanent basis...

Talked to the seller, 42K miles, car turned over twice last year which leads me to believe that it's a problem car.. don't mind the wheels, I think they are cool...

Wants $36.5K which is high considering unknown 30K status!!! but it's a GTS...

The price suggests there are some unresolved issues. It obviously has some deferred maintenance that would need to be done (things like valve guides and manifolds could raise the ante) The seller admits to an intermittent electrical problem. Maybe nothing big but it still might cost $ to fix. I would try to get the number down a bit and look at the car carefully (try to get a PPI from someone who knows what they're looking at).

Only if there's $15k in the glovebox...oh wait, they don't have gloveboxes. :D

Read the description again, sounds like it has a bunch of electrical gremlins and a serious case of the "Stickies". I'd move on. Just my 2 cents.

I love this stuff. Someone here will use this car as an example of the 355 market.

    "you can get a 355 for 36k!"

Right... After you put 20k into a service, 5k into cosmetics etc etc.... And still, you have a high mileage Euro car...

Once again, there are 2 markets for the 355... Those that have had the known issues addressed, and those that haven't. The delta between the 2, I believe is 25-30k

This is my car actually. You guys act like these cars are complete junk if they have a few minor issues. Thats crazy. The electrical issue on this car is an easy fix, that my mechanic would be able to take care of for $100 bill. Don't assume that this car needs a major service done till you come here and physically put eyes on it and drive it or have a ppi done. The car is a driver car and I have priced it accordingly. the car comes with a clear title and carfax, so don't assume it's been wrecked cause you saw it on my buddies website. I am not an expert in these cars but I am a knowledgable guy when it comes to cars in general. I bought this car knowing that they are expensive to maintain and require alot of upkeep. I'm not out to sell anybody any junk, I'm just fulfilling a dream of owning a Ferrari and passing along a good deal. They do exist. My advice to all, don't be so quick to judge.

How does my ad sound like it has a "bunch of electrical gremlins" and a "serious case of the stickies"? You have given me a good laugh. Like I said above, don't be so quick to judge.

Perhaps, but you need a few more clues about how to SELL a car like this.

This isn't a GEO metro you're selling, if you can spend a measly $100 to fix an electrical problem on a car of this caliber, YOU DO IT!
As much as I respect your honest disclosures, people who are potential buyers of a car like this, KNOW these cars, and will leave skidmarks (no pun intended) away from a car with issues like that!

You claim the car is tight? current on its maintenance? You want to sell this car? Fix the damn nickel-dime stuff, add $2-3K to the price, and you'll sell it in a heartbeat! Honestly, I hate the gold stuff, but it looks like a really clean car, I'd be all over it if my money was right!

Why the hell would I want to add $10,000 to the price of this car when my whole selling point is that it's a wholesale priced, driver Ferrari 355 with 42k miles and no service history. You obviously have no clue how to sell a car. This car can't be retailed. I left the few issues and priced it accordingly. If a buyer is that interested in the car, they will come check it out in person or do a ppi on it.

It sure looks like a good deal to me. These $20k service ideas are nonsense. If the major service is due I could see spending about $8k or so on that, and be in a newly service 355 GTS for under $45k. That is a pretty good deal to me! I would definitely not call this car 'pimped out', and the only afternarket stuff appears to be a shift knob, the gold wheels, and an aftermarket stereo, all common upgrades. I would say paint the wheels silver or black and enjoy!
    :)

Wow, nice attitude pal... i'm sure all the constructive advice from this group will end here.
I guess since you're the expert on selling Ferrari's and nobody here has any sense.... maybe the reason this "great deal" car of yours isn't selling , is simply because you're an azzhole??
