Many times, we read that question : does anybody can help for the PPG paint code ? or does someone know about the new reference for paint code as the old PPG references are not in use anymore ? So, my wish is to help anyone worldwide to discover "his" paint code here ! If you could post paint scan + reference old and new !!! I spend 1h45 minutes at factory in order to identify the paint sketches available. Many are missing in this department. One day I hope to have access to the other part of the Vintage archives. For instance, any one can provide "Grigio Londra" reference/paint code ?

Stay signed in. Just right click on the color you want. Then select save picture. The color name and number will show up as the default file name for the picture. Note spaces in the file name may default to "%20", everytime you see that number just replace it with a space. For example the file name for white comes up as "Bianco%20Acrilico%202[1].441", it should be "Bianco Acrilico 2[1].441". However I am a little puzzled by the "[1]" number, I suspect that is not suppose to be there either. Cheers Jim

I have yet to find a paint store which can do anything with those old codes. Best you can hope for is a physical copy of the original paint or a really generous restorer who has already laboriously colormatched to modern paint. Alas, even then it won't look exactly the same- sometimes you're better off making your own variant of the original color and calling it "arancio nuovo" or something like that.
