Here is a question for "management" to answer: Can the DeLorean DMC-12 be considered to be an Italian car for this show? In some circles the answer is "yes" because Giorgetto Giugiaro (Italdesign) designed the body and interior. Please advise on this so that I can plan for this show. Thanks guys! Toby - DeLorean Guy
Sorry, no. I just checked with the FEN board and they will not allow a DeLorean in their ALL ITALIAN Car Show. Their response was: "If we allow a DeLorean in, using the same standard, we'd have to allow the VW Scirocco/Golf, Lotus Esprit, AMC Eagle and other Giugiaro designs." I totally agree with their decision.
I agree. I'm guessing it's going to be a pretty tough sell for me to attend and bring something to this one.
Here is the Fiat Club's response about the date. It was either that day, or nothing... We had no choice. XXX is really booked. Either that day, or skip it for this year. There are no other dates available. And if we skip it for a year, we may not get it back.
The trophy was never given to that car (replica 250 California Spdyer). When the staff found out it was a fake, it was presented to a real Ferrari instead. Kit cars/replicas are no longer allowed in the show.
That car showed up in the Ferrari Car Corral at the Historics that same year until asked to leave the section.
If the weather is decent and above 50 for once I'll be there. I don't need no stinkin' bunnies...................................
I hope it's nice! I'm using this show to get my wife excited about a 348 or 355. We are looking at a new boat this year but if I can get her hot on a Ferrari I may have a chance. So if anybody has either of those cars I would really appreciate it if you showed up
I'm not too impressed with the weather forecast for Sunday, or with this "spring" weather for that matter. Nothing like standing around on a 40 degree rainy day shooting the breeze. I'm a native and even I have had it up to where ever. I'm moving, see ya.................................
I hear ya' Spasso. I was born and raised here too and I don't think I've EVER seen such a crappy Spring!!! Just took the pups out this morning for their morning potty break and it was freakin' hailing again down here in Auburn. Good grief.... April 21st and we still can't get out of the 30's for lows...... One of my Co-workers took a job with the new Boeing plant in Charleston, SC and she is always IM-ing me every day saying "Mikey, it's 75 here today..... Mikey, its going to be 80 today......." AAARRGGGHHHHHH!!!!
You gotta look on the bright side. I put down a couple layers of ferrous sulfate to kill the moss, then fertilized and reseeded the lawn, and it is the best it's ever been.
I looked outside this morning at 6:00 am (04-21-11) and it was SNOWING! Are you EFFING KIDDING? My elevation is only 450 or so above sea level (but close to the foot hills) It melted off by 10:00 but still............................................................... I have a picture. I'm going to stay home Sunday and Monday and work on the Shark I think.
Yeah, I used to do that. Makes it grow really fast too........................... Hard to mow a green lake............................................
