A very nice gentleman and his wife just picked it up and are driving it back to Canada. I will let him chime in w/ his identity if he wishes. Bittersweet as I really loved that car. A '95 red/tan GTS 6 speed...I dare say it was the perfect combo! I'm confident that it is going to a good home though, so that makes me feel better. Time to hunt for the obligatory next one!

It is always a sad day when you sell your F car even when you know another is on its way. Congratulations on the sale.

I hope you don't regret it as much as I regretted selling it to you.

I've been staring at 355Dreamer's GTS ad for the past week.... sigh

Yes, I agree Nick, it is a fabulous car for sure. I think the only way to quell the pain is another Ferrari...or alcohol.

Beautiful car. I see your OEM steering wheel also fell off, just like mine.

Interesting. I've also been thinking about selling my F355 and buying a 360CS.

    Good luck with your search.

Man, if you can afford a Stradale I say GO FOR IT! :D:D

One of my fav Ferraris! I wish I could afford to buy one in Oz. :(:(

Even if I sold my 348 for $100K, there is a $200K+ change over to pick up a 360 CS here in Australia. :(:(

Jer, good luck with the next one. That sure was one fine looking 355 you had.

I'm still having a ball with my 348. It will be quite a long while before I consider getting rid of her at this point.

I am the new owner of Jerry's GTS. Sorry for being so tardy in chiming in. I was a bit busy driving the car back to Halifax, Nova Scotia from Michigan (1800 miles). The car performed admirably and Jerry's assistance in the sale appreciated. I plan do document the trip in greater detail once I get back from vacation. Suffice to say, I am very happy with my upgrade from a supercharged NSX.

I now feel much more a part of the forum community.

    More soon!

OK, I am the happy new owner of Jerry's car. After 4 years of lurking and plotting a strategy to pull it off financially i sold my supercharged NSX and bought me a 355 GTS. My Mum loves to recount my youth suggesting that my first work was "Fewawi". After 40+ years I finally own one and couldn't be happier.

The journey home was an interesting one. My SO, Erin and I flew from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Toronto, rented a car, drove 6 hours to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jerry picked us up and drove us to his house through thunder and lightning back to his house to pick up my new to me car. The weather and late start to the journey home (11PM) seemed a bit daunting. First test passed. The car is nice and weather tight! "Night" 1 was a 3 hr trip to Detroit airport hotel, arrival time 0200. After turning down valet parking and finding a good spot for the car (first photo) in the garage it was time for some shut eye. Next day was a long journey to Cooperstown, NY. Ten hours on the road (through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York) and a well deserved rest for both us and the car (Photo 2). Car performing flawlessly and actually quite comfortable. Day 3 took us to Freeport, Maine via New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and finally Maine. Another 6+ hours on the road (including some top off country road driving near Cooperstown), a bit of shopping (quite a bit of extra room in luggage compartment as we packed lightly), a nice meal at a local Brew Pub and a night of rest. Picture 3 shows some keen interest by some local teens. Day 4 had us make our way home to Halifax through Maine, New Brunswick and finally to Nova Scotia. Ten more hours on the road + an hour going through the import process at both US and Canadian Customs at the border. All went smoothly there with the use of a good broker. Total approximately 26 hours in the car in 3.5 days covering 1800 miles (more miles in 3 days than Jerry put on the car last year i believe). Photo 4 shows the car back in its new home Province.

Some impressions as compared to 6 years of NSX-T ownership for those who are interested:

    - car is 7" shorter than the NSX though has more total luggage space, more cabin width and total volume.
    - roof off driving is actually quieter in 355.
    - roof removal and storage really takes no longer than on the NSX T.
    - ride quality similar, handling fairly similar (though no track time in the 355 yet)
    - torque significantly less than Supercharged NSX, though this does encourage spending more time in upper rev band and the exhaust note in many ways trumps that "deficiency"
    - not as "tight" as my NSX as there are "squeaks" caused by medium sized road bumps. (Thread to follow as i hope these can be sorted out.)

Thanks to Jerry who was very helpful in turning a PM from me on Saturday to a sale by Wednesday!
