I just picked this monster up. What a mint beast. 21k original mile car, with the original paint, tools, manuals, window sticker & 20k+ of open checkbook performance work. K27, bigger intercooler, three stage waist gate, dual plug heads crank trigger ignition, 935 clutch etc. Zero turbo lag. This thing is sport bike fast. The one picture shows all of the parts left over from the upgrade.

    I love it.

Yes, appears to be a bazooka subwoofer in trunk. I had one in my 87 carrera and it works great from that location.

Nice Joey! 930's are always a great choice...especially with another recent dip in valuation. So much WIN! :)
    Is it an '86?

  7. Thanks Mike. Yep, it's a 86. It's unbelievable how quick it is. Easy :) on the recent dip in valuation talk, I 'm still on a new purchase high! I think I got a decent deal and would be nearly impossible to duplicate considering the mileage, condition, condition, condition, and the professionally done upgrades. It's really a trailer queen shape car. Buy the best & only cry once, lol.

Sorry on the 'dip' comment...trying to be a market maker,as I have my eye on a '79 :D

I had a red/black '86 at one time...'86's got it just right with the little details, wheel size, integrated fogs, NO "E.T." rear brake light! Lol

    Enjoy!

Red/blk. Outstanding. Make sure you get a bigger oil cooler. Critical.

    Your car looks beautiful.

The ones worth having are not cheap, nor should they be.

The 930 remains the most enjoyable car I've experienced.

  15. I'm just kiddin' with ya. I'm following in your foot steps Mike! Thanks for all of the comments guys. This is my second 911. The last one was a 68 that was dressed up to look like this one, red as well. Wide body kit & the wheels. Fun car, but that was almost 20 (yikes) years ago. I always wanted the real deal, and what a big difference.

this is a true statement. i love how people talk about perfect 930's that can be had in the $20k range. while you can buy them in that range, they are not the pristine car that we all want or aspire to have. the good ones are north of the mid $30's and can rise fast!!!

i don't know if there has been a dip in the 930 market. ask richard sloane!!

nice 930 prices are on the rise..especially the early ones. i still can't think of any other iconic car that gives this much bang for the buck. i took mine out this weekend after a month's rest and it is just a terror between 40-100 mph. granted it's not stock :)

Wow- what a beast! You have to respect that car- no braking hard in mid-corner, no full boost in twisties until you know the car....this thing will bite back! Even from the factory with 282HP they will bite back- this thing must be putting out low-mid 300 hp (or more?) in a light car!

The headlights were updated in '87 on for the US cars. European cars had similar lights to the '87, but the glass was a little clearer. The US spec cars are worth more in the US than the euro cars, althuogh the $$ difference may be small for the late '70s 930s (all 1980-1985 930s are non-US cars).

    Drive her in good health!

Fantastic car! Mine looks similar with about 375 RWH. I've had it for 15 years or so and will probably be buried in it. It's my absolute favorite of all my cars and I take it out whenever I can. It never gets old... Enjoy in good health! :)

Love the polished rims! :) Always loved the look of them on turbos.

    Makes me homesick.

    Congratulations...

    Beautiful car :)

  23. Thanks. They are unbelievably fast, modified anyways. I don't know the rwhp, but it's up there. I was looking at the work order on the car, and it even had some extruded hone work.
I need to replace the tires. They are really old. Great tread, but age wise not good. Anyone have any ideas? The rear tires are the hard to find (245/45/16), and some have switched to 265/45/16's which are plentiful.
