Everyone has been very helpful. Thanks. Basically, I am choosing the Canna di Fucile paint option (slightly darker than silverstone) or Grigio Granito (an even darker Maserati color). I am also going with yellow shield and yellow calipers. Currently I have chosen black interior with yellow stitching (to match the calipers and shield), but debating the bordeaux with gray stitching instead. Two Questions: 1. Should I go with Canna di Fucile or the darker Grigio Granito (a Maserati color) 2. Which interior? Bordeaux or Black? Thanks in advance...!
Very subjective question as it's a matter of taste. If it where me, given those options, I would choose Canna di Fucile with the Bordeaux interior. I always thought that grey cars looked stunning with red interiors.
I tend to agree. I am planning on wrapping the roof portion in matte black...shouldnt change the interior color choice right? Just wondering if matte black roof, dark grey, grey rims, and yellow calipers might call for black interior instead. I have to remember these are good problems!!
I also vote for CdF/Bordeaux. Will be an amazing combo. Wrapping the roof shouldn't make a difference as for interior, in my opinion. Details such as calipers, shields, center caps, etc. are not that relevant to me as for the colour scheme. It's OK if you want to match but you shouldn't worry too much. For example, few people care for red taillights or orange markers to add them to the colour equation and they're still there, matching or not.
+1 I would go with red calipers C/F wheel caps NO shields as IMO the 458 looks good without them but then again Iam biased lol What are your wheels going to be like as that comes into play too.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Canna di Fucile, dark grey rims, yellow calipers, yellow shield, and matte black roof. So tempted to get the bordeaux. Just sets the car off. Black w/ yellow is just safer. Nobody seems to have a pic of a grey Italia with Bordeaux!!! That 599 color combo looks amazing.
Are you talking bordeaux leather or bordeaux alcantara? They have a very different look and are, in fact, essentially different colours. Unfortunately I don't have any decent photo's. I think it's best to visit your dealer and look at their samples, a photo is often not the right colour. Onno
Just as a heads up canna also has a notable bronze/brown hue in certain light. Bordeaux interior would work, so would yellow calipers, but I'm not sure about bordeaux and yellow calipers with the canna. I think the best interior with it is crema. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=257171
You might want to go with black carpeting with the Bordeaux leather interior. I did this with my Cuoio leather and it came out well. Click on the My Garage link in my post to see pics of it. Some of Ferraris interior colors have a slightly different shade of the color in the carpeting. Tan leather with tan carpeting is a perfect match, but not all the colors are. And, the black carpeting works especially well for any black, gray, or silver colored exterior IMO. Enjoy your new car!
