What the he!! is going on with these message channels that News Corp wants to increase the rate for their channels by 40% or we could loose SPEED and quite a few other channels??? Do you think this has something to do with the hacking turmoil (I think that is what they are currently dealing with)?

Oh I forgot to mention that I have 'Direct TV'.

+1. If I lose Sons of Anarchy mid-season it will be time to go postal.

Exactly and as we all know if their demands are met the added cost will be passed down to us. Hopefully a court will step-in and delay the raping of their customers.

Don't owners of properties and sellers of services have the right to ask for what they believe is the market value for those properties and services? If the reseller of those services (Dish, cable providers, Direct TV) don't feel there's sufficient added value, they won't offer them in their packages. What you are seeing is the resellers trying to turn public opinion against the providers to force a lower price.

Taking someone's property or service without freely negotiated compensation is theft, even if you use the government to do it.

The point I am trying to make is not if News Corp feels they are not getting market value for their service but if the whole scandal they are embroiled in has something to do with them asking for a 40% increase, the timing smells abit fishy to me.

Is there anything new on this ? I hate to think I am going to have to go back to DISH Network after they f'ed me over 10 years ago, (I have been a happy Direct TV Customer since then) but if I don't get my SAMCRO fix every week da ole lady won't be able to live with me.

I actually saw a commercial this morning, during India qualifying, from the CEO of Direct TV which was kinda cool in the sense that they are making an effort. He did mention something about not worrying about other Fox related interruptions yet since it was on SPEED I fear that is his largest concern at this time.

Agreement reached, finally!!! I was on the verge of being perturbed if I had to miss the last few F1 races of the season.

    Huge sigh of relief.
