Sorry to hear about the accident Michael. I was wondering why you were looking for pics. of a 328 front frame.
Yikes....not cool at all. I was hoping this was NOT what you were referencing with your bumps around the board. PDG
Hi Michael, sorry about your accident. I'm interested in the 328 tool kit and pouch without manuals. Thanks, Christoph
Michael, Sorry to hear about the accident. When do you expect to get a check from Hagerty? I'd be very interested in the targa top, if it's not already spoken for.
Not happy with Hagerty right now guys. Ill leave it at that for now and give them a chance. My attorney is involved now.
What a heartbreak. You are going through what we all fear in the back of our minds every time we drive. It is just a car but somehow Ferraris are more than that. I hope that you are successful in getting full compensation from Hagerty. I'm sure everyone who is insured by them is paying close attention to how you are treated. Best of luck.
Sorry to hear Michael and glad that you weren't hurt...is it not repairable?? I suppose ebay would be the best way to go...if and when you are ready to part out l would be looking for some parts as well..good luck with Hagarty's.
I thought they only had stated value policies. Car is totaled, you get full value. Car is fixable, you get your car fixed. Have you taken it to a shop for estimates? Usually at 70 to 80% of value for repairs they will just pay policy. For big part prices like you asked, the guaranteed values come from the salvage yards but they probably want to buy the whole car and will tend to do that from insurance companies. Even the wreckers don't make money over night, they hold on to the carcasses and may be selling the small bits years later.
Hagerty sent a guy who does not know anything about Ferrari's. Andy Hoffman at Hagerty called me and wanted ME to find the rest of the parts, and figure out what the estimate would come to, and where / how the car should be shipped for repairs. I called my attorney and told Hagerty and Andy Hoffman: i am the customer. What you are asking me is not " my job ". You figure it out, I work 60 hours a week and dont have time for this crap. i have requested they find a Ferrari damage expert, and i gave them Bo Pirkles number thanks to NNO's private messages. I am in Savannah GA. My damage comes from a Dodge Ram backing up ON TOP of my car up to the windshield, and then pulling off. Guy did not see me behind him at a red light, and he did not hear my horn. He wanted to " change lanes" and backed over and on top of my Ferrari. Police cited him, he has a court date. 16 cars with Hagerty. 100+ with State Farm. No tickets, accidents or claims. We shall see how this goes. i want to get another car. This one is done.
That's tough man. Your right though probably best to move on to another car. If they aren't going to give the money to fix it at a proper shop then she will never be the same. What a shame.
Holy Crap l just googled Dodge Ram!!!..You must have shieted bricks when that happened to you.He basically used your car as a car ramp!!
With a lot of threads dealing with Hagerty and complaints - why do people still use them? I know all insurance companies have their bad moments, but for a company that deals with collector cars, it shouldn't be like this. Erik
If you really do cannibalize this car, I'll have the dash vents, please. Really is a damn shame; hopefully, Hagarty gets right with you.
If you do decide to part the car out , I am interested in the AC/ heat control , again sorry for your loss Elliot 516 528 5010 , [email protected]
They are equivalent to the F-trucks we have here. We also have converted Dodge Rams here in Oz too. Although they are not as common as the hoards of F-trucks you see driving around.
So sorry to hear about this. It must have been gut-wrenching to watch that truck back over the top of your Ferrari. Glad you weren't hurt.
Thanks everyone. Car is going to a proper Ferrari shop for damage estimate. i am hoping for it to be totaled. I will post if i buy it back to part out, rather than fix myself. Michael
