I have been on F chat (active) for about a year. I used to read the old board all the time and always enjoyed looking through the threads. Since I have been visiting about 11 car forums consistently for about the last 7 years, I see the different attitudes, the different crowds, and the different personalities on many different boards. However, this board has been not only the best board I have ever visited, but the people on this board are nothing short of amazing.

I figured a thank you was in order for all the time I spent here over the last 2 years, and hope to spend many more years in the future. All of you have been an integral part of allowing me to believe that there are truly respectable, genuine, kind, and very helpful people around, and it seems like quite a few of them are fellow F chatters.

As a moderator on this forum, I tend to spend a lot of time reading threads, and going through posts, and viewing many of the ugliness that some members bring along with all the good stuff. Thus I get a true glimpse of the ups and downs of the board and the different personalities. I feel the level of personal attack on the site has increased over the last 3-4 months, and there seems to be a lot of negativity and mud slinging thrown about. Despite all the personal attacks, all the threads about my ________(insert car here M5/Wrx/Sti) is faster than your Ferrari, all the threads about Lambo vs. Ferrari for the 14th millionth time, will buying a Ferrari get me more women, hey look at my keyring, look at my prada shoes, look at my Ferrari interior for the 2,345,843,583,405,734,057 th time, I still enjoy this board and everything it stands for and all the contributions that is made by the members.

So despite all the negativity, I wanted to make a positive thread, that highlights some of the inspirational F chatters that I have had a pleasure to interact with. I hope to see other contributions and other stories you care to share about how F chatters have made a great impact on your life, or just some positive aspects you care to share about FerrariChat.

I want say a few specific thank yous, and though I will probably forget some people, here goes in no particular order:

    Darth550
Dave, thank you not only for your generosity but your kind heartedness. I have told you before, but it bears repeating, you truly are a class act, and I am proud to call you my friend.

    Auraraptor
Omar, not sure where to begin, as you have not only showed me the ropes, but have always been around to help whenever I needed something. Your posts about religion and the middle east are truly enlightening and hopefully have allowed some ignorant members to see the other side of things. Thank you for all the free lessons, that an expensive Ivy League education wouldn't have been able to teach me.

    Ryalex
Ryan, you have been a great friend and someone I look up to and hope to learn many things from in the future. You have taught me to strive for the best, even though at times things don't seem to be achieveable. You have been a great influence and a true brother in the highest sense of the word.

    Sherpa23
Ryan, thanks for the coffee. ;) What can I say about you. Not only a classy and brilliant guy, but one that was willing to teach me about the Duc world while I wanted to jump in headfirst. Thank you for everything, and I hope to continue to enjoy the italian passion with your helpful information.

    Maranelloman
Thank you for letting me be in love with your wife ;), and all the great pictures you post, that lightens the burdens of the day.

    DrTax/Who
Dale, the Pm's we have exchanged in the past have not only been informational but have been truly great in allowing me to decide what field I wanted to pursue. Your posts are great to read, and your wisdom is unparalleled.

    Urotrash
Doc, thanks for the entertaining posts, you certainly make my week go by much faster. Your wit not only keeps the OT area jumping, but certainly keeps other posters on their feet. The free diagnosis services that you offer, I am sure are appreciated my many as well.

    Brian C. Stradale
Great posts Brian. I think your posts are educational, very well written, and always to the point. I have learned so much just reading your posts, and have thoroughly enjoyed the learning process. Great work! Btw can you be kind enough and not move this thread for a while ;)

    AlanHenson
Doc, what can I say. Your kindness started it all. The book has been life changing, and the correspondence has been truly an experience. Thank you for sharing the knowledge and putting up with the questions.

    Doody
Your posts are true quality. Yes, I even like the kitten ones ;). Your analyzation skills are truly something to aspire to. Thank you, as well for all the material.

    BWS88TR
BROTHER BRUCE, YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY ON THE BOARD IS TRULY SOMETHING A LOT OF US YOUNGER FOLKS CAN LEARN FROM. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, AND YOUR GESTURES CERTAINLY DON'T GO UNNOTICED.

    Chiaro_Slag
Jerry, thank you for taking the time out the other day. The info really helped me out and have truly opened my eyes to many different things. People like you, make the F chat community a better place, and one that is filled with dignity and class. Can't say enough about you. Definitely one the nicest guy on F chat!

    To the NW crew

    Jack Russell Racing
Daniel, I love reading about your threads why you love your Ferrari. Your passion and enthusiasm is what makes this board such a great place. Really nice to see you enjoy the car, and allowing many of us to live vicariously through you. Keep the posts coming.

    NetViper
Thanks for all the help you have given me. I enjoy reading your threads not only on this board, but you are everywhere. Or is it that I am everywhere. Lol. Who knows. Keep defending the NSX, a great car, and you have great passion for it, great to see. :)

    Speedy308
Alan, you have been a great friend to me, and I sincerely thank you. Your dedication to children is truly inspiring, and you do some great work out there. Keep it up, brother.

I won't bore you guys with more, so just a sincere thank you to everyone who have welcomed me with open arms and made the time spent here so memorable. My apologies to anyone I forgot.

Hope to hear some more positivity on this thread. :)

It was pleasure meeting you Ryan! You are a heck of a smart guy & I see many positive things in your future.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Rick D. on this board also - He has walked me through all the great things about F-Car ownership :

    1) Installed a Tubi exhaust with me on the TR.
    2) Changed the oil on the 328.
    3) Troubleshooted headlights not coming up on 328.
    4) Painted TR brake calipers.
    5) Installed tires and rims.

Thanks for being a great friend Rick!

You guys are very welcome. The least I could do is say my piece and a thank you. I could never repay any of you for the help/advice/info/comraderie that you guys have provided, so a little something was in order. :)

I have to add a couple of people to my constant growing list of appreciation:

    Ghost
Vik, Thank you for being truly a gentleman, and I really appreciate the help on the Cornell info. You really keep the EC alive (along with the other people), and your posts are very informative and always positive in nature. Much props. :)

    Spasso
For being a very good friend. Not much I can say here, that I didn't say already in writing. Just a honest thank you for the wisdom. :)

    Vincent355
I will come up your way one of these days. The trips you have posted about have been very inspirational and enjoyable as well. Keep them coming, and thank you for letting us vicariously live through you.

    Gee thanks Ryan,
It's always good to know someone with heart.
Let us know if/when you come up this summer. Timing it for one of our events would be a lot of fun.

Did you write that so you wouldn't have to show up at one of the carting day? Great post, thanks for the good words, but you really need to show up either on a Sears Point or Atwater day. You're missing some fun.

    Art,

I wrote the original post almost 4 months ago. :D I just added a few names today. Rich invited me to carting the last time you guys were out (indoor I believe). He invited me while I was packing for my 2 day trip to mendocino.
Usually I never even get an invite ;)

Email me when you are going out next time, you have all my info. Look forward to hanging out.

I am also going to go up and see Vince one of these weekends, if you want to come along. Nothing major, just lunch with him. :)
