I recall in an old old DuPont registry that there were a few Nicole Miller (inspiried/designed) 355c paint schemes. Does anyone have any information regarding them? Or better yet, any photographs?

Perhaps there is a 355c or just a challenge registry around somewhere.

I can't say as I recall any Nicole Miller 355Cs, but I do definitely remember a yellow 348C she did with a wild-looking fire & water theme on the side and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne (Carte Jaune) on the roof. I think it was the car run in the '94 348 Challenge Series by Landshark Racing, prepared by Lake Forest Sports Cars from IL? After its tenure in the Challenge Series I saw it one time a few years back at the Cavallino Classic track event- I have this vague recollection of seeing it on a trailer parked in the lot at The Breakers in Palm Beach that year, and in the paddock at Moroso, looking a bit ratty.

These might have been 348c's instead of 355c's. It was that long ago. The ones I remember were white and had small spatters of various colors.

Ron from ScaleCars.Com might know this one - he used to drive in the 360 Series, IIRC...not that that guarantees anything, but it's worth a shot.

I seem to recall a 348 Challenge (at least I think it was a 348) at Cavallino a few years ago from Wake Forest Sports Cars that had Nicole Miller on the side with a very colorful design.

I will check through my CDs here and see what I may come up with. One
of the best images from that Cavallino as I recall.

    Yes, found the picture.

A 348 Challenge from Lake Forest Sportscars with Nicole Miller on the side. The car is #17 with a paint scheme which goes from water to fire graphics on a base Giallo car.

This image from likely from the 2001 Cavallino Classic at Moroso.

    Splendid car.

You know youre getting old when your fans remember your work better than you do! Thanks.

I completely forgot about that speedfilter shot but have a print of the pan
shot as a print sitting right here in front of me as I write this.

The memorable aspect of the 2001 Cavallino is that I had a bad eye infection which was very uncomfortable and made shooting terribly difficult. Special thanks go out to defective Bausch & Lomb contact lenses.

Thanks mucho! That's one of them. There were a handful of them if I recall. I'll see what I can find at home in the old magazines.

    Gorgeous... just gorgeous.

That's precisely the one I remembered. As I said, the roof has a bottle of VCP Yellow Label with the cork popping out. When last I saw this car (Barton's probably right- '01 Cavallino) it had seen better days but was still eye-catching.

    No longer here
There was (only) one 348 Challenge with a paint scheme designed by Nicole Miller. The car originally belonged to Gerry Jackson, who was a friend of Miller's. She designed the paint scheme and painted a 1/18 scale model of a 348; that design was then transferred to the real car. (There was a detailed story on this in an old PRANCING HORSE magazine.)

Gerry raced the car in 1994 and 1995, then purchased a 348 GT/LM which he raced in IMSA on a few occasions. The Nicole Miller 348 was purchased by Challenge driver Kurt Carlson of Illinois, who still owns it. He has carefully preserved the originality of the car.

No 355 Challenge car was ever designed or painted by Nicole Miller.

Thanks for the additional info on the 348. After a few posts, I figured it was a 348, due to the age of my recollection.
