I've had one of these for a few years- its perfect. Make sure you get the cigar lighter adaptor, and you can just plug it straight in when you aren't using the car, rather than faffing with the battery connections

I have had exactly the same problem. 2 weeks in the garage and the battery was dead.

Sorry to appear think, but do you just plug the unit straight into the mains, obviously after connecting to the battery?? And who long is the mains lead that comes with it?

    Thanks in advance!

I leave it plugged into the mains, and run the cable through the slightly open window, and plug it into the cigar lighter.

The cable is a pretty reasonable length- id say the whole thing from plug to plug is about 7ft+

Mine is an Accumate you can get adaptors to plug into the battery or as in my case I have a lead in the passenger footwell which i just plug into when in the garage. The Conditioner is Wall mounted so i just open the window and plug it in. I think they start at £34.00 but you have to buy the accesories(Cigarette Adaptor,Wall Mounting bracket). Well worth it as I know the car will start every time no matter how long its been in the garage

    They are at :

So you plug into the mains and recharges through the cigar lighter!

What a brilliant idea! (I wish i was that clever!)

Just a quick question, as i haven't tried this yet.

But does the Cigar lighter work on a 360 even if the ignition key isn't in?

And if it doesn't, then does that mean the trickle charger won't work?

    Thanks.

Just spoke to a very knowledgable chappy at airflow-uk who advised to check whether the cigar lighter is live with the engine and ignition off, as the conditioner will not work with the cigar adapter otherwise. Does anyone know whether this is the case on the 328 (88 abs)?

    Thanks.
