Hi Fchat-community! Just want to show you some "before and after" pictures of my 1991 testarossa. I bought this car in february 2012 with 48k kilometers on. Condition was great, but not perfect That´s why i invested some bucks to transform this car to be my dream-testarossa. My daily drive is a full black 2007 Audi RS4 avant - so the black beauty can take her rest after getting the spurs on the sunny weekends Pictures before -> Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Whaauw ! What a work .... looks awesome this way. The seats look a bit different from mine ... 512TR ? Where did you find them ?
Thanks! Got them from a German dealer, who told me, that the seats had been taken from a very early 512TR which had been delivered to a German Lufthansa pilot. Seats look more like 355 in my eyes - should replace them after getting real 512TR ones.
Though I'm more of a fan of stock, love what you've done all around. Seats look great in there too. To a US enthusiast though, the prettiest thing in the interior to me are the manual belts! Well done. A TR in black. How can you go wrong with that?!
Many thanks!!! Sure, the US belts are really bs - but stock You´re right, stock is the correct way to keep a car´s value - but i prefer the look now. If my tr had been a monospecchio, i wouldn´t dare to change at least the stock tyres My 1991 tr isn´t rare or seldom - there´ll be always somebody paying for that style, so also my car will have a certain value...hopefully
After all that's been said in the thread about FerrariStarters what will you do? Will you get a custom flange manufactured to join starter and motor block?
Congrats on this super good looking TR! The car looks lower. Is it only because of bigger wheels or did you lower it with the Koenig H&R?
Wow... it is a real work to make a back TR perfect. Car looks awsome. Where did you get the front turn signal lense in clear?
Let me know when you change them please .... Do you know there is a car breaker in Germany (Toni Baunach) who has many things/parts ....
I´ll contact Ferraristarters first and ask for a solution. As far as the flange of my testarossa is same to many other Ferraris, i am pretty sure that there´ll be a fast solution.
Many thanks The front turn signal lenses are made by Squadranuvolari as special order -> http://www.squadranuvolari.com/company.htm
Sure, but black 512TR seats never grow on trees will take a lot of time and research... Yes, i know Toni Baunach...lot of parts, but also lot of demand for $$$. I mainly buy parts from Eurospares and FMS.
I've sent back the starter that they sent me last week. And I have agreed to send them my present starter when driving season is over, probably in December. Dave told me that they could do a flange for Testarossa so it can fit "my car". Are you planning on sending them your starter earlier than that? If so, please keep me posted so I can ask them to do a flange for me as well. They'll probably turn around faster then...TIA.
Well, i need to find out first wether my Ferristarter also won't fit...but i am pretty sure, that it'll fit...why? Just because 308, 328 and many other mainstreamers have the same starter as the testarossa. Only 512TR and F 512 M are different. As far as Ferraristarters already sold many starters to owners of mainstream-Ferraris and obviously had no claims (otherwhise they should have changed the flange already) i have some hope left, that the starter might fit. Will check it on saturday whilst my girlfriend is @ work Sent from Rotkäppchens iphone
Hello Sebastian; In the forth photo, I REALLY like the tread pattern of the rear tyre. What brand of tyre are those & model #?...Thanks, Mark
Hi Mark, there are Pirelli Pzero Rosso all around - the rear are 315/30 Sebastian Sent from Rotkäppchens iphone
Hello Sebastian; Thanks for the quick reply!!!....I'm interested in the tyres that were first on your car, the 17 inch versions, I believe the name is "Vredestein"(?), are those tyres only available in Europe?, really LIKE the agressive tread design. Is there a reason you switched to the Pirellis?....Mark
Many thanks In my eyes, the testarossa design is still very fresh and contemporary - that's why i changed some bits to make the car look slightly more modern. I am deeply pleased, that such a professional audience gives such a positive feedback. Sent from Rotkäppchens iphone
Aaah, coin has dropped - these are Vredestein Sessanta in 17". Front 245 and rear in 315. I sold the whole wheelset to UK, but you can still get the tyres. Did you already tried it on www.tyrerack.com? Sent from Rotkäppchens iphone
Hello Sebastian; Is there a reason you switched tyre brands?....where you pleased with the performance, grip, handling of the Vredestein?....the Pirellis tread seems to be upon visual inspection a less aggressive tread, I suspect the Vredestein are noisy at high speed, would my estimation be accurate?.....Thanks!.....Mark
Yes, the Pirelli are less noisy. Regarding the 17" setup i had, the Vredesteins were the only tyres availbale in the required dimensions...i barely had no choice The 18" setup means a lot more choice - as far as i always prefer Pirellis, i was glad to get them in the right sizes...furthermore, the red Pzero-logo looks stunning I don´t like the profile pattern of the Vredestein - but this is always a matter of taste. Here are the complete specs: Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in 245/40 R17 95Y & 315/35 R17 102Y You should be able to order them in the States -> http://www.vredestein.com/
