hell w/ the body - I'll take the motor/tran. Having put 30 or 40,000 miles on an MGBGT, I always thought it would be neat to drop the 2.0 Dino motor in an MGBGT. You see a lot of Rover v-8 conversions in MG land - this would be extremely unique and loads of fun. No other indication of what's under the hood except for the tailpipes, a Dino badge on the tailgate and the sound.

My impression is that there are 206 motors to be had from abandoned Fiat Dino Coupes - not a pretty car - nothing like the spyder.

    it's a sickness

Bryan. there's a 206 motor for sale on ebay right now.

    About $5K I think.

Of course, it'll cost you $10K to get it running.

I've seen that listing before too.

Whoever built it seemed to get some proportions quite right.
It's just too bad that they made it out of fiberglass.

And I don't think that it's quite so "one-of-a-kind Replica body of a 1958 Testarossa", as the seller makes out. The eBay ID says he's from Girard, Ohio. I know of another almost identical unfinished project 250TR belonging to an owner living in Warren, Ohio. What's that ? 20 miles apart ?

    Hello All,

It has been a long time since I've been on this site. Actually, it was when I sold my 348 and traded the Cavallino for the Trident.

......Yes Mr. P4, you do know this body. I bought it from Rod a few months back.

......And yes Mr. Smiles, the proportions are very right

I have been building an A6GCS (Maser) replica based on a 3500. I was concerned I would have too many replicas.

I have since changed my mind and will be ending the auction. My current thought is to send the fiberglass body to my Panel Beater, and have an alloy body built. At this point I am looking for a 250/330 engine & gearbox. Anyone know of one?
