As part of next Spring's launch of the Award winning Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang musical on Broadway, the producers of the show have decided to bring the original GEN 11 Chitty, used in the 1967 Oscar winning film, to New York.

We are pleased to announce that the Bridgehampton Motoring Club has been selected to be Chitty's exclusive home during her extended stay in the U.S.

Chitty will be at BMC for nine months and will be transported between New York City and Bridgehampton, Long Island for all of her promotions including driving with the stars of the show during next week's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A co-founder of BMC will be her driver during this special event.

In honor of Chitty's arrival in the U.S. we are planning a private reception at BMC prior to Christmas. It will be a family-friendly event and will likely be held on a Saturday afternoon.

We would like to extend a special invitation to FChat members to attend the reception. Please PM us here or email us at [email protected] if you are interested.

    Best regards,

    Rob

    cool!
I loved that movie growing up, but I always liked the bit in England much better than when they went abroad so I usually watched through building the car and up until the "Truly Scrumptious" song at the seaside before hitting stop and rewind.

We just found out that Chitty has a broken water pump. We are hoping to have one overnighted from the U.K. in time for the Thursday Macy's Parade.

If you a bunch of people pushing the car you will know what happened...
