Decisions, Decisions poster?

You're correct on the caption. I have this poster hanging in my wine cellar. It's probably from about '84 as that's when I got mine. Scary to think that it's 20 years old. The car is a 308GTB.

 

Just a thought:
I remember seeing them advertised in the Road&Track mags, early-mid eighties. Perhaps check with your local used magazine shop for old R&T issues. If you find it there, then maybe it'll give clues on where to look next.

I seem to remember there was a series of 3 of them. One of them was the Ferrari, another had a Lambo and I think there was 1 more...

I have the one with the woman, wine and 328. But I have seen another one very similar with a 512 BB.

Jimpo I think it is a 328, not a 308. Check out the bumper area.

 

Not possible on my poster. I got it in 1984 for Christmas from a girlfriend. That was the only year I dated that girl, so it couldn't be a 328 as it wasn't even produced yet.

 

Ok. I wasn't sure whether it was a 308 or 328 and ask myself that question almost daily since it is above my desk. Glad I can put this one to bed.

 

from the same era, captioned "Every Man Wants One" ? It featured a Porsche, however.

Thats odd, cause those actually are 328's...

 

I have one from the mid 80's that I would be willing to part with. PM me if you are still looking for one. This is the original 308, wine, and nude..all on paper, of course. One could re-create this with the correct resources in one's own garage.

GTE, we're not talking about the same poster. I assure you I can spot a 328, I have one in my garage. The picture posted in this thread is of 328's and a Mondial, the poster I'm talking about has a 308, a bottle of wine, and a nude girl.

We can now put this to rest. This is a picture of the car/wine/woman poster that's been discussed here. The car is without a doubt a 308, if you don't believe me, look at the door handles. Sorry about the angle, but the flash was too obnoxious in the straight ahead photos. BTW, the wine is a 1928 Chateau Lafite Rothschild.

Darn, I wish I had take a picture of the poster with the 512BBi. Similar thing, but with boxing gloves. It would be so easy to recreate. Anybody else seen that one?

There was this one too. The quality's better because it was shown full-page, but none of these posters reproduced very well in the magazine. I'm sure the originals look much better.

Wouldn't mind the Vette either.

 

If you read the blurb in the advert, it sounds like the 308 poster was actually comissioned by Ferrari (of N. America?) themselves, and the others were comissioned later by R&T from the same photographer/designer. They're also different sizes.

Just for the record, the ad was in the May 84 copy of R&T (p118 & 119). I would think it appeared in other issues of R&T around that time though.

 

Does anyone else have this poster? I remember that it came free in the mail, but it was folded in fourths. I just found it when I cleaned out my storage closet, it's been in there for years. I guess I've had it since 1981.

A good friend collects these posters, he has all of them except the Corvette issue.....I have not seen these on ebay in years, so unless you 'know someone', your chances of obtaining a mint-condition copy are slim to none.

 

I think Carozzeria Italiana photo is taken from Ferrari's 70s adverts.
