    Inspired by a video Dave sent to me of his car with a X pipe, I finally had Phil (ferrarifixer) make up a crossover pipe replacement for the centre muffler/exhaust section on my 550. The resulting sound is slightly louder at idle, but with less resonance (I have early model Tubi's) and when you wind her out, she just wails like a Ferrari V12 should. In one word WICKED.
    My son described the sound as "a pissed off devil in the engine trying to get out".
    After lunch with a few friends today, I was called by each of them separately, on my mobile telling me how sick it sounded. (For those unfamiliar with the term, apparently sick is good.)
    Time permitting I will put the car on the dyno next week and see what, if any, power increase has resulted.
    Once again Dave, thanks for the inspiration, I should have done this long ago!

    Glad you're happy Stephen. I reckon it sounds a bit like a Diablo now, so yeah...a Devil is unleashed!

    I prefer to call it siamese, rather than "X". It's more )( than X.

    Mk 2 will fit, look and sound better too. (You can always sell Mk1!)

    FWIW, my @ss dyno says it's helped a bit too, see what your real dyno says.

    I'm sure she who must be obeyed would understand the exhaust upgrade, besides it's not a lot of money.

    Those sound bytes don't do it justice do they??

    I can't believe my TV just blew up as the Aus open Tennis final was about to start.. AArrrgh. I'm never buying a Hitachi product ever again!! that's the 2nd TV from them that gave me the 5hits......
