    Guys,

Got my wheels back from being powder coated. They are awesome. Different to normal silver wheels. They are sprayed a black base and then silver added over top. The wheels reflect amazing in the sunlight. Pictures do not show the mirror finish. Much much better then lacquer paint finish.

Powder coating is very very hard wearing, great for alloys.

I Paid £100.00 for set of 4 at trade (friend got them cheapwer for me).
£160 inc Vat for joy public.

Kenyon, the wheels look fantastic! Very different. I imagine the silver over black does present quite a visual in the sun! Seeing your wonderful 348 spider causes me to miss mine that much more. Locked away for the winter. Too much snow and ice! John

I LOVE the style and they look great on your car - I bet they would look really good on a white, silver or black too. Particularly white. Also cool as it looks like your interior is black?? so it all goes together.

    Cheers
    Kevin

The wheels where damaged from curbing them. I wanted them refurbishing and then respraying. Where I had them done, they mostly dealt with motorcycle stuff. I saw a Ducati 996 with these colour wheels. They looked great with red frame. Different, bored of plain silver alloy wheels. So I had them done as the Ducati wheels.

I was going to have them chrome, but very expensive process in the UK and makes the wheel heavier. Maybe a bit to bling for a ferrari as well.

I was thinking the same. I have been told if I did this it would upset the handling at the front ??? Any ideas...

I know this couple that own this 348 and they have problems going over speed bumps. The car is a bit to low. But looks really good.

I do not think there is too much wheel gap. In my opinion it is more pronounced due to the level Kenyon photographed from. He is actually below, shooting up at the car to better capture the wheels. I am sure viewed standing, the wheel gap is considerably less to the eye. Just my opinion.

    Kenyon,

Beautiful wheels! Your 348 looks amazing. I am trying to find a place in MA to strip the chrome from my Saleen Mustang wheels, and powdercoat them, as the chrome has started to pit and peel. Saleen must use a cheap chroming process, as I have seen brand new Saleens in the showroom that have this problem as well. If anyone knows of a powdercoat specialist in MA, please post.

PS - Nice touch putting the Ferrari badges on the side of each wheel.

    Alex

The car is on a slant of course. I do however agree that a little lower would look the biz

I believe the wheels on the lowered TB to be Azev C's, they come in two versions, Aluminium and Magnesium. You can tell by the script engraved on one of the spokes.
BTW Kenyon, your rims are awesome...Kahns are they?

Yes they are Azev C's Magnesium as I also know the owner.

Justin - you heard anything from Mike and Barbs?

After you lower the car get the alignment redone, AND, have it corner weighed.
