Anyone looking for a nice project car? Just ran across this one. Needs some engine work, but I think the paint will buff right out Ferrari 308 | eBay
AWESOME! Its local and I am high bidder, I need some of those parts bad! If anyone needs anything else on that hull I will gladly work with you. If I win,
The ad states it has 5.6 million miles. You guys know how I feel about trusting the milage on the things
F-register lists it as: 55055 308GTSi84 Red/Nero LHD EU ZFFLA13B000055055 QV register lists it as: 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Chassis # 55055 Model : Left hand Drive North American Rosso Corsa 12/10 Pics of 55055 at a scrap yard in Colorado, looks to be the victim of a pass side collision. No other info
Yikes! Well now we have a no reserve auction at 200 clams. But I would guess with all the 308 hype this hunk of junk will bid up to over 3k. I hope I am wrong but we will see.
The after-market fire damage put Me off! Now had it been original factory fire damage - Well that's a different matter!
Definitely a Euro. It has a Charles Pozzi badge in the engine compartment. That's the Paris dealer I believe. That badge and the steering rack look to the be two most valuable parts of the car.
https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck It has a Clean CARFAX!!! The above site tells you for free if the car has been salvaged or stolen. No need to pay carfax ever its free right there. ZFFLA13B000055055
Yep, she's french all right: Charles Pozzi was the historic french Ferrari importer; sitauted in Levallois, one of the "immediate suburbs" of Paris (= la proche banlieue). After his death, the dealership remained, but today, like they say "it is not what it has been before anymore". All french Ferraris delivered by Pozzi had originally a yellow "Charles Pozzi Ferrari" sticker glued from the inside on the rear window, in the middle, that is the hallmark of a true Pozzi car and that is much valued by french Ferraristis. But this car does not have a rear window, among "some other things missing"... Rgds
Buyer beware. If you look at the photos from front view you can see the bulkhead between the engine bay and Cabin Took such a shot that it's actually kinked and about 2 inch height difference from one side of the back window to the other. RIP Euro.
I'd like to have it for no other reason than it was born just before mine (55057). Probably a bridge too far to attempt a resurrection. Maybe Glickenhouse could do something with it, like 0846. 😉
This thing wouldn't even make good yard art .. Has a solid rear axle, wheels bolted to it and wire tied to the frame to hold it in place. LOL Can't even tie it down to a trailer in that configuration. guess if you had a left door you could always cut it down the middle and hang half of it on your garage wall!
See post 11. People are going nuts over these cars, I am having lunch today with the previous owner, I will try to snag some better pics. Im curious about the rear axle set up.
