Replacing under hood foam

    The foam strips that attach to the bonnet, on my 78 GTS are gone. I bought replacements from GT Car Parts in Phoenix. My problem is the lower one which is sandwiched between the hood and the radiator is a weird triangular piece. Can some one take a picture of an original as I would like to determine the correct orientation. Thanks Dennis

    I'm too lazy to go out and take a picture. But if you take the foam as it's oriented in the picture and rotate it clockwise, you will have it correct for mounting on your hood. In other words, the side that is lying on the newspaper faces the back. The side that is on the left in the picture is the side that gets glued to the hood. The blunt short edge faces the front of the car. I hope that helps. If not, maybe one of the less photographically challenged members will chime in.
