Tubi Style question

    I am assisting a friend with auctioning his Tubi exhaust from his 360. He only had it for a few months, before getting a CS, so it has a grand total of 350 miles on it!

    Anyway, my question: The the part number is the same as the standard exhaust, it is marked "Only Competition", and both Tubi (at an FCA meet) and the dealer that sold him the exhaust, claim it is a special louder or more aggressive sounding version. Can anyone comfirm this? I sent an email to Tubi, but have not heard back yet. Is the "Only Competition" marking standard on all 360 exhausts, or something special?

    It is standard writing on most tubi systems. This is because of some of the legal beaurocratic idiosyncrocies with the noise level obtained with this system.

    it should have something to do with the beaurocratic bs otherwise they would not write it

    I think it is standard - My TR Tubi has the same markings.

    It is due to ARB/CARB rules and sales with respect to such. This will be gone when they have CARB approval most likely. It is normal, and does not indicate a "special" or different model.

    Thanks to all who responded. Sounds like we have a "standard" Tubi exhaust for a 360 then.

    For the 360 Tubi does offer a 'Sport' version of their standard silencer which has less baffling. This is not shown or their site however, if you contact them via telephone they will explain.

    Well then perhaps this IS one of those. The part number on the invoice matches the standard version, but the selling dealer says it was special ordered from Tubi, and the owner of the exhaust says that Tubi confirmed with him that it was a "louder" or more "agressive" sounding version. Oh well, we may never know.
