Taking the unit carefully apart and cleaning corrosion off often fixes many of the common problems - see the threads.

I just did this fix about a week ago. Refer to the thread Dave mentions. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sh...ght=348+control Worked great and resoved the issue. I found out if I disconnected the quick disconnect on the battery (mine is in the rear of the car) and reconnected it after a few seconds, that the climate control unit will come back on, clock etc. However, it does not solve the problem follow the steps that are in referred to in in taking the unit out and cleaning the contacts. My 348 tb is a 1991. However the thread by Rayman is the one I used and is very helpful. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sh...ght=348+control the unit is slightly different than mine. Although the process is the same. His might be a later year. I believe his is a 1992 348 special. The contacts and the socket on his runs along the bottom. Mine ran vertically along the left side. The area that had the most dirt was the contacts where the yellow plug slides in. Definitely use Stabilant 22A. It really works.

    Stu,

The threads I'm referring to are the first and last threads in Daves post. The ones in my post aren't working.
