This is what happens when you track on worn out pads. I just though I would share a memorable Journey in my Ferrari 360 I have plenty of good photo's of France from my weekend away with F.O.C last weekend though, will post soon. Although the pads didn't seen worn for road use etc.. they went with very little warning. I had to drive from the Folombray circuit (France) to Zebrugge in 3.5 hours on theis wheel to catch the Ferry. Probably shouldn't have, but Once I set off I saw it as a challenge. It was the most memorable journey of my life, a distance of over 160 miles. The Ferry was called and they said they would wait Until 6.45pm that evening, we got there at 6.43pm no Kidding!!!, Although it was dangerous, I was assisted by two Yellow F355's driven by my good friends Tim & Pat, for whom I am very grateful. I can assure you it made quite a scene, 2 Yellow 355's escorting 1 poorly 360, My Hands and wrists were absolutely knackered due to the vibration. We hit a thunderstorm in Lille, made a couple of mistakes with direction and made some very amusing manouvers. We were lucky enough not to encounter a single police car throughout the whole journey. We would have surely been stopped from progressing. I think another factor is the superb condition of the roads in France and Belgium. I will post other photos of the trip in another thread. Finally I would like to give a special thanks to Pat,Tim,Chris and Adriene who were fantastic in their support. We had many laughs on the walkie talkies, and true friends were made. Ryan, You must have really clobered the bloody thing to do that type of damage! Good man! When my F40 returns I intend to drive over the nearest sleeping policeman at 100mph and see if I can better your work of art! erh I mean damage! LOL James.
Yes, I met him at 'The Arnold Classic' in Columbus OH in 2003. I was out there on business and was treated to VIP everything by our american hosts... 1st Class experience.
Still do, but only just started back. Thats why I set up the company, Reflex and ourselves are top dog now! do you train?
just to keep toned, came off the weights about 6 years ago, got to 17 1/2 stone, am now around 15 1/2 and run a lot to keep the weight off, still go boxing now and again and was thinking of starting ju jitsu
Thanks. We had to keep stopping to fill it with foam, took nearly 3 cans in the end. Trust me, carry some with you!!! its superb
That is an amazing story (looking at the condition of the wheel). I am staggered that the wheel didn't come apart or that the tyre didn't deflate. I am really interested to know a couple of things -- Did you use the puncture repair aerosol & how fast were you driving ? Hope you don't mind me asking. Thanks. Edit: just seen we posted at the same time ref. the foam, so just interested to know the speed you were travelling. Cheers..
Have you heard of my training partner of 14 years (weights)Dennis Frances? 1992 Mr Universe overall winner and now IFBB pro? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, he used to appear in muscle & fitness and flex magazine. He competed at York and Mansfield in 2001 I beleive, my brother was competing at both events also in the junior class. Is he still competiting?
He does alot of competing in europe and the states now, in this country alot of guest spots. We are currently training for a IFBB show comming up. Another friend of ours is Earnie Taylor, he is an Olimpian, but has had a nasty bike crash a few months back.
We started at 40mph, but at every stop we were falling further behind schedule. We kept on increasing the speed steadily, but by the time we got to Belgium, we were doing 70mph! Things were that tight in Brugge we hit 80mph+ I didint dare look. We had got so close, I was absolutely determined to get on the Ferry. I felt like I had really earned a drink that night! We came down to the cars the next morning (you cannot check them through the night) and the bloody thing was still up!
