I know this is no Ferrari, but..... Just wanted to share with you the drawing of one heck of a living legend, namely my all time greatest racing hero and fellow Dane, Tom Kristensen, who on the 19th of june past Jacky Ickx's old unbeatable record of six victories at Le Mans, by driving the old Audi R8 from Champion Racing to victory and by that, he won the Le Mans for the sixth consecutive year and his seventh victory in total....a record which will most likely never be beaten by anyone.... This drawing will be a personal gift from me to Tom Kristensen to honour him for his great performance and his legendary achievements as a sportscar driver....the greatest of all time!!! Thank you Tom....I hope you will like this gift!!! Best Carsten Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate all the compliments!!! Here is the finished drawing which will be personally handed over to Tom Kristensen asap, and possibly at the event of one of the DTM races in Germany, where Tom is racing an Audi A4, although not quite as successfull as on the La Sarthe circuit with the R8!!! Wow, I say this in all seriousness when I say that you may be the BEST artist I have and ever will see. Well done.
@Alex_V, Ohhh man, I'm speechless..... thanks a lot for these very kind words! @GTE, I'm definately very proud of this drawing, and I'm in contact with Tom's press manager who will arrange the meeting with Tom!!! I will definately let you know how he reacts when the drawing is handed over! Best Carsten
I'm astonished really! Both about Toms victory, and your drawing of course. I was there, at Le Mans, myself, and its quite funny to see a drawing of something you have seen in real life. That Drawing makes me remember what exactly happened there. Thanks for a moment of joy Carsten!
Thank you Stefan, Yes it's an outstanding achievement by Tom, and a moment in history not to be forgotten.....this is just my small attempt to help preserve the memory of one true Legend Best regards Carsten

Buggatiart could you list down the items you use for drawing including the paper size? I want to try my hand in drawing cars.
Hi A list of the things I use to make a drawing is in fact very simple: 1 Pilot Drawingpen DR Pigment Ink 0.1 MM 1 or more photos to look at!!! 1 Piece of 130G/Sqm drawingpaper that measures approx. 11.7x16.5 inches or 297x420 mm 1 heck of a patience All mixed with a great deal of passion for the cars and for the drawing! I think you will have to try out different paper qualities until you find the one that suits your drawingstyle! Let us see the result of your try at drawing cars!!! Best Carsten
Thank you so much!!! Wow....that's some big words....I'm very happy that you like my style! However, I think that all artists are the best at what they are doing, and all with their seperate and different personal styles!!! I just happen to make my drawings in a style that is somewhat different than "usually" seen for car portraits.....lots of other artists making cars are using charcoal or pencil or color pencils for their works, and that gives a totally different picture....of course!!! I have great respect for a lot of other artists out there, and I really can't tell that he or she is the best.....It's a matter of style again I think, and a matter of the way you see a picture.....different eyes will see different things!!! Thanks anyway , I really appreciate it!!! Best Carsten
