Just got back from a friend's house that was broken into today. The house is secluded, there is no way of knowing how long the robbers were there. They failed to set the alarm when they left this morning. Big mistake.

These cowardly, pieces of cr@p not only stole several things of value, they ransacked the entire house. EVERY drawer was pulled out and dumped on the floor. The contents of EVERY cabinet was dumped onto the floor. Broken glass and dishes literally covered the kitchen 3 inches deep. When there was something too big to carry off, like the big screen TV or china cabinet, they simply turned it over, destroying it.

Four little girls live in this house, they probably will not think of the house the same way for years. I know their mom and dad certainly will not after the shock wears off.

And IF they are caught and IF they go to jail (to big IFs) we get to pay for breakfast, air conditioning, and haircuts for these ***holes.

Easy as it would be, I suppose you'd expect some sort of F-ed up comment about the incentive for one to commit such a hate crime but the truth is...I really don't give a ****. :):)

It's not a hate crime; they were probably laughing an whooping it up the whole time they were ransaking and looting.

    ...like Vikings, they were!

Did they steal the house alarm?

Wait, why would they? They probably figured, "Hey, we don't want this f'in thing! It don't work!"

Careful, Judge4re resembles that remark. He comes from a long line of rapers and pillagers, as he likes to say.

As for the break-in? My house was broken into when I was in grade school. My parents were on vacation and I was staying at my sister's house. The only thing taken was a camera and nothing was destroyed, and the moron lived around the corner from us. We could see his back door from our back yard. But, 30 years later, I can tell you exactly which pane in the back door he broke to get into the house, and which house he lived in. I didn't understand "invasion of privacy" or any of those terms at the time, but I think it would devestate me if it happened now.

I'm glad no one was physically hurt, but my heart goes out to these folks.

    Question for the Judge:

Do you rape first, then pillage or visa versa; or do you kinda roll it all in together and do quicky rape in the middle of the pillage?

Only you would think up that question (I hope).

No procedures have been carved in stone. If they were they've since been smashed in the pillaging. So, it's pretty much up to you. Choose your poison and go for it.

after watching that show on Discovery about the ex thieves that tested peoples houses I got more serious about security & bought a serious safe that is bolted to the concrete slab & I lock up all my important documents too

When you buy a safe buy the biggest 1 you can afford :)

Those little things they sell at office depot are not burglar proof BTW

I think the standard order is indeed, "rape and then pillage." There comes some confusion in that one could rape, pillage, then repeat the "cycle".
But I will defer to "the judge"

I always assumed it was rape first and then pillage later. Or was it shoot first and ask questions later? No wait, you can't do that.
I guess if you have a whole clan of Vikings, half could rape and the other half could pillage. But then you'd have all kinds of little quabbles about who gets to rape and who gets to pillage. "Oh Man, that's not fair! I had the pillaging last time!"

All jokes aside, I feel sorry for your friends. I've had stuff stolen from my shed before, but never had a burglar come into the house. The "Protected by Smith & Wesson" sticker on the door probably helps with that.

Hang on; I had to get the Viking handbook that has been in the family for about 1100 years now.

Ah crap, I forgot this one was written in runes. This could take some time...

    Rape

    Pillage

    Repeat

Dad's a viking on both sides, mom's a descendant of Attila the Hun. As Spicy said “a long line of rapers and pillagers...”

We had our house broken into when I was in HS. Nothing was ever the same in that house. Every time you heard a noise outside, you thought it was them returning. Sorry for your friends, I have been there and a lot was stolen out of our house as well.

The 89 Earthquake up here didn't screw up our house as bad as those A'hole Mother F'ers...ugh....

A few years back, my daughters and I went out for a quick bite and when I returned the side gate was wide opened with my dogs wagging their tail. Apparently, someone had broken in through the front door. Unfortunately for the the robber, I have two German Shepherd Dogs and at that time, they were 3/4 done with their SCH. training. I say unfortunately for the robber because the part my dogs had finished was the attack portion of it. Needless to say, when I came home, there was blood everywhere outside. My neighbor who witnessed everything said, he had called the cops when he saw him bust the front door. The cops found the guy by just following his blood trail and apparently was weakend by my dogs bites and was resting on someones lawn a few blocks away.
In my hoodlum days, I thought owning a gun for protection was a good idea for me but, when you here all of the accidental deaths and children getting to their parents stuff, I decided that maybe 2 dogs would do the trick. I guess in this case it really paid off, that and the fact that a quick shot to the head would be too easy for the someone trying to hurt my family and that a long methodical agonizing death would be in order.
