There was a thread a while back about cats, and Max-Flow was mentioned, but it sounded like the company (Sports Car Converters) that sold them were flakey. My 308QV needs a cat and I'd prefer to get something this week if possible. Has anyone bought and tested a Max-Flow? If so, where did you buy it and what was your experience? The Hyper-flows are nice, but they are too expensive. Is there any other off the shelf QV hi-flow cat that I should consider?

Here's a link to the Max-Flow sold by Sports Car Converters.

    Thanks!

Thanks Mike. The second link is the one I was referring to. I didn't think to search outside Tech Q&A for Max-Flow. Doh!

I"Ve had two prominent bay area mechanics point me to Miller Catalyzers for cats. I will have them make up a 308 Cat for $350, and I get it this week so I can install this weekend.

Oh well. The Max-Flow sounded good. Too bad the business can't seem to get their act together. I tried calling during regular business hours a few times and got no answer.

    Steve,
If possible, please take and post a few pictures of the replacement, and report back on the results. Oh, I found their website!

I bought converters from Sports Car Converters. I called first, to make sure they were in stock, before I ordered. The promised one week stretched to 3 1/2 weeks before they arrived, as they actually were not in stock. Once they arrived they were fine. But if time is important I'd shop elsewhere. The fellow who runs SCC is only there for limited hours in the afternoon, if I recall he told me he's also a 308 driver.

why just get the ones Ricambi sells. The hyperflows are awesome. I have one on my mondi 3.2 with stock exhaust and love it. Sounds more like a ferrari and not so muted like stock. The hyperflows are better built and have better flow using the honeycomb type innards.
