Great event all, It was really nice to see some old friends again, meeting new people & talking cars. Rob, I took some photos of the villa. The place is looking great & really coming together, I can't wait until the grand opening party.

Based on Wil''s pics, Big Bend Villa looks great! Looks alot different than when I saw it last (April?)

What was your impression of the Gallardo SE? It supposed to have a revised exhaust, how did it sound on the track in comparison to the standard Gallardo?

 

I liked it, evil sounding. Though the comparison was skewed, because the SE was driven harder.

 

Even though it was driven harder, there were a couple of G-cars that were pushed hard....and the SE sounded SO much better. Almost as good as the Murci Barchetta. Almost.

There was also a silver one that slipped in later. I did not get a picture of it, though. Sorry. It was leaving right as I spotted it.

 

Hmmm... bigger question to me is "Was the Z06 driven on the track? How did it do!?"

 

No, it was not tracked. There was also a red one there that left as everyone else was coming in. It never returned. I was too busy getting people to sign their lives away to take a picture. Sorry.

 

Anyone see my buddy with the TT Diablo down there? He brought it down from Oklahoma for the event.

That 917 is interesting. Was it a real one or one of the Kraftwerkz LMK917’s found at http://www.kraftwerkz.net/? Ever since I heard about the Kraftwerkz replicas I thought they were interesting, but then I read something from some guy in England who voiced several issues with the one he purchased. I heard that Kraftwerkz sold a few in Dallas or Houston. Does anyone know anymore about it?

What about the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe?

 

I did see your pic when you posted it, and that made me believe it was all original, but then talking to someone else who attended they said it might be a cobra-to-daytona conversion, so I am curious to hear from anyone who knows for sure.

 

The Shelby Daytona CSX2582 (McKluskey?) is at the new Lamborghini dealership in Houston. I was there today and they said they think they have it sold for 800,000. Wow!
