They admitted to CGI about a week after it came out. The thing rooling to a stop, then starting up again gives it away in one section.

Wow, I actually saw an interview on FOX about it where they said it was in some places. They were talking to one of the producers I think. The thing rolling down the board to the window, that then opens was one they focused on. The thing roles slows to a stop, then picks back up again. Another was the tire rolling up the board, hitting the other tire and rolling back a bit... then reversing back up the hill again.

its got credits for a 'Flame Artist' which is a Computer graphic operator ( flame is one of the most used CGI tools ).. sooooo if it walks like a duck....

I also cant see ( having been in the film biz for 15 yrs ) how they could have possibly spent $6mil...

The guys that did this, I cant remember their names, are french. I have seen several video's from the 70's and early 80's of them doing stuff that would make the honda commercial look like childs play, All real, all shot in one take using a household cam. I remember the first time watching one of their home made videos, it had a domino sequence (much like the honda) using industrial machinery that lasted for THIRTY MINUTES. It had me grinning the whole time.

If anyone finds out what the names of these artists are, id love to go find that video at the library again! They are truly awesome.

And regarding the comment about the flame, the flame may have been used to composite extra embelishments on to the sequence, such as the speakers vibrating or whatever. it couldve even been used to grade the shots. But having seen their original works, i have no reason to believe they would fake it. not for 6 million anyway.

The wheels are weighted. Throw a 50lbs sand bag in the tires, and it will go uphill for 1/2 revolution ... sorry, laws of physics :p :D

about a year ago for some reason they changed the music in it, i really liked the sugar hill gang music but then they changed it to some bland demo music and it ruined it.
