Really looks like a Costin re-body.
I remember Costin re-bodied a Maserati, but not sure which one

 

Do you mean the Tipo 151/1 1963 Le Mans cars?

I'm not sure if the bodies were by Costin but they could very well be.

Costin designed the body for the 450 S coupe for LeMans. It was built in Italy, and some of the details of his design were ignored; other parts of it didn't fit the rules. As as result it was very unsuccessful at LeMans.

The 151 coupes (all versions) were done in Italy. Costin had nothing to do with them.

The green thing in your photo appears to be the really badly done replica offered around a few years ago, with various claims of being a real Maserati of some sort, or the body from a real Maserati, or something. All were wrong.

It's indeed a replica but the only image I could find of it without knowing which Tipo I was looking for exactly... ;-).

It appears to be for sale, clearly stating that it is a replica.

Asking price is somewhere in the 80K$ with Maserati running gear.

 

Theses photos are originals taken by Peter Coltrin when it was at Modena in the "60.
I found them in Italy last year in a show where a collector was selling only very rare goods.

the car is called 'Thomassima III'; the following pictures and original text were taken from 'Ferrari The Sports and Gran Tourismo Cars' by Fitzgerald, Merritt and Thompson'.

' Tom Meade, an American amateur in Modena, built perhaps the most flamboyantly curvaceous of all the custom-bodied Ferraris. His first effort, a rebodied 250 GT berlinetta of fairly modest form, was completed late in 1964 and ruined only a few months afterwards by the disastrous flood which caused so much destruction in Intaly, especially in Florence. His next design was a P4-like rear-engined berlinetta built in 1967 on a modified De Tomaso single-seat chassis with a 250 GT engine. Called the Thomassima, the low, effectively proportioned car was constructed to order for Harry Windsor of California. The Thomassima III ( the second Thomassima was a Chevrolet-powered front-engined coupé ) was an extremely voluptuous gull-winged berlinetta with a front-mounted Ferrari 3-liter V-12 engine. While its forms were exaggerated, it was an interesting combination of P4-inspired elements and the traditional front-engined layout.'

And for the die-cast toy collectors: There's actually a current Hot Wheels 1/64 - model of this car.
