Hi All, Parts cars aside, I have never been able to understand why some people own more than one of a particular model of car. With all the wonderful choices out there what is the point of owning say 2 360's or 2 Gallardos. Colour choice cannot be the only reason. Can someone offer some insight into this for me?
You want to be able to have a friend drive the other one when you go on runs, so you can look out and see your car on the road! His and hers?
I know of a guy who owns 2 430s. One is a coupe while the other is a spider. Maybe the reason is to have the slight differences.
Had to have the stock road coupe, then the race version, then I had to complete my 512 collection. Its simply the best looking car of all time to me + its great to drive Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would have at least four 328's if I could afford it right now. 1989 328 GTS Red/Tan 1989 328 GTB Verde Scuro/Tan 1988 328 GTB Red/Black/Red Carpets 1988 328 GTS Red/Crema/Black Carpets No joke.
1: So people think you can wash your car REALLY quickly. 2: So that when the cops bang on the door looking for the red Ferrari that just did 165 mph in the mall parking lot you can show car no 2 and theyll see that the radiator is stone cold. 3: So that you can write Tender to..... on the back of the second one. 4: Because two two-seaters are the same as one four-seater, or so you told your wife. 5: Because you are loaded, shy, have a hell of a stutter, and you couldnt bring yourself to correct the salesman. 6: Because you have no imagination and its a two car garage. 7: Because you are wall-eyed and you want to really look at the car.
Not long ago I had 3 vipers at one time. One was a 1996 GTS that was supercharged and used for "spirited driving". The second one was a yellow 2001 GTS that I used for long trips. It had a softer stock suspension and smoother engine. I drove it cross country and actually got 25+ mpg. The third one was a 2004 SRT10. That one as a convertible that I used on nice sunny California days. When I got the F430 they all went. This car is the best of all three and more.
Two of the same... errrr... that's just not me. I don't envision one Ferrari sitting on the sidelines not collecting milage, the idea never comes to mind. What does come to mind is a Ferrari gatherings with other owners; full tank of gas and a twisty windy road in the country or coast. Like William, I see myself owning all the Testarossa versions. They may share the same inspired body design, but underneath is a different story. Testarossa 512tr 512m (FX) wishful thinking
why do you own two red sweaters? why do you have a whole SET of silverware, when you only need one fork knife and spoon? NOTHING EXCEEDS LIKE EXCESS! I'd love to have two for the fact that my wife and I could both drive, a friend and I.. It would be nice to come home from a long drive and see your car already in your garage! I'd be taking a double-take everytime I looked in the garage! Obsessive compulsive, MUST HAVE FERRARI!
