according to Jan edition of Car, they have interviewed Amedeo Felisa (deputy managing director Ferrari). and the question goes Car: "So no new Dino then?" Felisa: "Emphatically not. The possibility of a smaller, less expensive Ferrari has been looked at- especially as the current `entry level` model is the 118500 pounds F430- but, it would destroy the entire model range and proposition. We think that the way things are configured now is correct, though we want to bring waiting lists down to about 15 months." so i best get my deposits back from the dealer in adelaide and think about something else as a daily driver..................Gallardo sounds nice, pics of the new M3 show it as looking a lot like a Honda Accord or similar.
chuch????????? i know the bible belt is alive and well in QLD but please Roger gimme a break, how can you possibly compare that state of the art piece of automotive excellence to a new honda accord (sorry M3 bimmer) does this mean the CS is up for grabs, i was thinking along the lines of gallardo as the daily driver and get a 550 as another toy for the stable or scour the planet for a Mclaren? albeit the Macca will be expensive but then so is a GTO (we wont go there cos i got banned last time i showed my enthusiasm to the thing) and the macca can be registered in aust unlike an F40 (which is only legal in Vic with 28 1/2 day permits!
the dead kings dino.... Elvis had a taste for burgers and dinos.... and he buried himself with this, kind of Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes a mac will set you back a cool 2 to 3 million i think , that's serious coin even i can't come to grips with
but if they dont wanna break the 5000 units per annum thing then its a dead issue. could it be that they are worried about quality of product if quantity increases.
i know, its a long shot and would rather have lots a toys for that money. but i am thinking down the track. when the classic adelaide was on i was nearly convinced by Mr ferrari aust (kevin wall) to procure a 612 and the cost was not the issue but the simple fact of tear up after 3 years or so, every 12 cyl suffers loss, but in the eyes of the chartered accountants of this werld -- a loss is only recorded once sold--.....................thats why i have so many in the garage-------------too afraid to show a loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can ease your pain........ I will take the loss for you, .....when you buy my 575 http://www.qplanet.org/forsale/item.php?id=198 *EDIT now I sound like Roger Giddy Up ?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Purely hypothetical of course, but if I were to even have money like that to splash out on a vehicle, I don't think I could avoid the Zonda. Less than 2 million, and about as rare as you can get... Not relevent to the discussion one bit, but I thought it was worth saying. Back to lurking
man for 2 - 3 mil i would buy a Veyron, its an absolute weapon of unimaginable power. but that said, i somtimes look at a Zonda and think it looks OK, and sometimes look at it and think it looks like @$$, so i would not buy one, because sometimes i would just have that whole post purchase dissonance thing happening when i look at it.
Does that Elvis Dino have bullet holes??? He shot up the Pantera pretty badly, IIRC.......I think it was the Pantera....
can't be registered can't be registered can't be registered a mac i have heard can be registered and would be good as a daily driver
pity about no Dino. only new Ferrari i'd consider would be a lightweight low capacity high-revving V8, say a nice 350hp 3 litre in a 1000kg package, or a mid-engine wedge-shaped V12. reckon i'll have to stick to the OHOS's.
