That just makes the car even uglier. It's like an ugly chick trying to make herself look better by putting on blue eye shadow. Nasty!

They showed one like that at Pebble. Called it the "Special Pebble Edition"
You could feel the paint line...

Take a look at many of the show cars coming from Europe, especially Germany. Two tone is the new trend.

Just like the monotone paint scheme of 30 years ago, the Germans will bring this paint concept to the USA. I have seen it already on 635's, and A6's.

I feel sorry for the body shops that will have to respray these things after a shunt. It costs enough just to paint them a solid colour. I hope insurance adjusters will understand how much more it will cost to respray these.

Didn't they make a limited edition 456M With two tone paint years before the Veyron? It's more of a homage to some of the 50's in my opinion...

I'm sure the 612 drives like a dream, but the best thing about being inside one is not having to look at it from the outside. Two-tone paint - especially colors that clash - is not an improvement IMHO.

Rolls Royce has had outstanding two-tone combinations since at least the 30s - how come no one else can get it right?

Also, to pick up on what others have pointed out, Ferrari has not covered itself with glory in its recent designs. I like the 430 (but prefer the 355), but the 612 is gross and the 599 is derivative. Whassup?

Another missed opportunity...! Nothing wrong with experimenting with two tone, but at least try and use it to accentuate the interesting design details. Why, for instance, have the scallops on the sides been left untouched? I would like to see those in the second tone. Anyone fancy having a go in Pshop??!
