    I am goin on to 355 wheels on 275/40/18 rear and 225/40/18 fronts....1990 348.

Now as regards to spacers will 25mm rear and 15 mm front look stupid or good on this width of tyre?

    Thanks

I use 225/40/18 fronts and 265/40/18 rears on my 348 with 355 wheels, which is the stock 355 setup. I know the 275/40/18 will work as I saw those on a 355 last week. I actually liked the wider rear tires better. I only use 15 mm spacers on the rear, however I believe that there are a couple people on fchat that use the 15mm fronts with the 25mm rears and really like that setup. That is pretty much preference. I believe, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, that the 15/25mm spacer setup is what has mostly been recommended for the 348 with the stock wheels and the 355 wheels are wider. Again both setups will work.

I have 225/40/18 on the fronts and 275/40/18 on the rear with the 355 wheels and there is not a problem at all with the car.

Beyond that I have to run 15mm front to fit my brembos under the wheels and then I run at the moment 25mm in the rear but am going to go to 40mm this summer for the track.

But was your car lovered Andy? I'm putting 360 wheels that should mean like stock wheels with 40mm spacers so were just thinking about tyre size. Probably will go for 285/35.

Standard 355 alloys/tyres and 15mm spacers at the front damaged my front drivers side wheelarch during some hard driving. Although the front had also been lowered between 20mm to 25mm, so i guess that did'nt help.

Oh man. The prior owner of my 348 lowered it in front, too. Great look. Lousy real world drive-ability (re: parking, potholes, ramps).

I'm thinking, "Aren't these cars low enough already?!"

I'm having it all sorted out next month. Dampers reconditioned and the front and rear heights adjusted to the same setting, although maybe 20mm lower all round than standard.

At the moment I don't have any paint left under the front spoiler.

    :D :D :D :D

Oh, well...if you can **see** under your front spoiler then you aren't too low!

I am running 235/40-18 fronts and 295/35-18 rears on my 348 spider. I had to have my front inner fenders rolled slightly but the rears are fine. I don't have spacers but I have aftermarket wheels that came on the car so I don't have offsets or backspacing information for you.

    Cheers

What offsets will fit at the rear maximum on an 285/30-19" 10jx19" wheel? Anyone knows? I think i have at the moment 285/35-18" 10jx18" with 45mm offset what i can read in the cars papers. I've read here that 68mm at the rear is stock? So is there so much space left or is my offset in the papers not right?

I run with 225.40.18 no spacers at the front and 28.35.18 with 15mm spacers and no problems.

The 225.40.18 are excellent width size, on trcakdays no understeer and the tyre wear is perfect. !!!

that setup will work fine....265's is optimal because it closest to spec height but 275 will be fine...your speedo will be 2-5% off as in reading slower then you are going...

I am actually amazed that this happened to you. I run my car really low all around and have the exact same setup as you and have never had and issue with the car on the track or road.

355's on BUT on the rear i tried 265/35/18 but the profile is too small (tyres were free so thought i'd try it!!!)...Gonna go with the 275/40 18 as originally stated tommorrow....(in all honesty i didnt think the bigger tyre would fit as the std tyre is very close to the sill area.)

I am running the 15mm spacers up front and 25mm spacers out back..looks VERY good so Angelis your 15mm rears must look a bit in....get it sorted ;)

Pics hopefully tommorrow,i could show you as it is but i think it looks too gay at the mo..LOL.
